Hard to believe that next Sunday folks participating for the first half of the Foolish hatch will be setting eggs already...seems like it was way off in the distance not long ago. it's also hard to believe for me that I'll be setting eggs in 4 weeks....time is flying by me way to fast.

Prolly time to clean the chimney flue. Backing up when a new fire is started in a cold furnance. I was hoping i could wait til spring...ain't the case....overdue now i guess.

Hey Jim, what special needs do the sebastapol geese need ???? Are they more fragile then regular old toulouse or african geese?

I may have to go down to Racine and keep an eye on my Auntie E next weekend while my sister is in TN for two days.
So I would maybe pick them up next weekend.

Anyone know where Little Suamaco is in relation to Hwy 45 on my way down ??? I saw some silkies on CL that I might like to get.

Well, I guess Auntie E started acting up today at the hospital. They moved her into the PT floor and said she may need to spend two weeks there. My sister said she has maybe a 50/50 chance of going home.

She started cussing and telling the staff that she hopes each and every one of them has to go through the same thing someday, that will be her legacy !!

I was wondering how long it would take her to start.
She told my sister that she had an 18 yr old young man gave her a full body bath yesterday on the old floor. She didn't use those words though. Today she told me that he washed her bottom and that ain't the words she used with my sister !!! Remember she worked in a factory !! LOL Dear sweet little Auntie !! LOL Some things never change !! LOL

She is going to be in for a rude awakening tomorrow when the start Rehab !! She told my sister that she doesn't want to walk down the halls, but if she doesn't she won't be going home. That is part of her problem, she needs to build strength !! AhhhRRRgggHHHH

Thats for all the tips every one. I did loose my Black Jersey Giant. So far today we'r doing good. I moved the brooder to a new location just in case they were getting a draft I didn't know about. I have electrolytes in the water. So I guess its just a wait and watch thing. I just hope I dont loose anymore.

On a positive note, I finally got a truck. It's an F-150 ext cab like I wanted with only 134K on it. Needs front tires and a rear brake line fixed but thats not a problem.

Sorry I was going to reapond to some posts but lost tract and I'm only on for a few minutes. I'll try to catch up next time I come on. I hope everyone has a good evening.

I have a 1991 F-150 ext cab, it was in an accident 2+ years ago, still runs like a top, although I think I need NEW brake lines in the back and in the front. It has become my horse/farm truck, I love it, it also has 4x4 which is awesome!!
I traded an OLD laptop, my 1986 ford f-150 2x2 and a 150 cash for it, best trade EVER!!

just a few minutes until the leftovers are warmed up.. fried chicken, ham, mashed taters and sweet potatoes..

I plowed (re-plowed) the driveway today.. I didn't make it wide enough for DD#1. she got stuck in the deep snow I didn't move the first time.. you should be able to turn a semi around , now..

I switched the two breeder pens to laying formula today.. and I caught the Delaware rooster and tossed him in with the 10 Del hens.. It was sort of comical.. he just stood right where I placed him for about 10 minutes.. I got bored watching him do nothing, so I left so I don't know how long he stood there.​

Joan was in the PT area/floor after her stroke last year, we might be riding this week!!
If you end up going to Racine, mayhap I can come visit!

I was left w three "land turtles" tortioses- to watch for a friend while she went home from college over the winter break .
she has informed me that she is not coming back and i can sell the turtles to recoup the money i am out for supplies in the time that i have had them.
and as a rehoming fee for there well being to go to someone who wants and knows what to do w them. i am asking a $50 rehoming charge for each turtle .
i have seen this type of turtle in the pet store and they ""sell" for over a hundred dollars.

this is my BLRW roo. he gave me 78 pullets out of 84 eggs two years ago.. I crossed him with my red stars and a few other odds and end hens I had.. all good egg layers..

he is also the culprit who just killed my Barred Rock rooster a couple of weeks ago..

no name... 3 years old.. still here because I have orders that I cannot sell nor butcher him.

(but someday a predator just might grab him)
