tiki glad you found the boy in time! I didn't used to have any allergies nowadays it's sinuses and watery eyes. So far no food problems but if I were you stop using any chems on your food. Did I actually type Black Grimm? Hhahaha! Good Catch! I meant Black Krim and actually I got a Black Prince. The store had both and I got the Prince variety not the Krim. I don't remember why though. I've had the Black Krim...maybe that was the one that has blossom end rot so bad I thought to try a different type this year....or maybe it's that I save seeds so I wanted that variety for my seed vault....hmmmm.....

Well, I had the old peepers checked today and I told the eye Doc that I thought it was B-time. *gulp*. The exam went well, and my eyes are very happy and healthy but, alas, I do need bifocals.....I knew it!!! DH would hand me something to read because he can't read small print and I could not read it through my glasses prescription. Soooo, my new glasses will be no line bifocals.....My glasses will be uber cool though the frames are sweet!
DH finds this funny....That's ok...I'll have the last laugh next week. He goes in for his first ever eye exam next week...Then we will see who is laughing!!!

Got my truck in for a way over due oil change. Got the air filter changed and my wiper blades replaced. Those suckers are hard to get off so I have the mechanic guys do it....It's easier then having DH complain about changing them for me....This way it's done and I can see when it rains!

What a great day! Peatwo sat on my lap gettin lovin he almost fell asleep. Tough job keepin everyone in line specially those new roo's. Got enough done today think fresh trout will be on menu tomorrow night.

So how many call duck eggs hatched ?

6 well all 9 hatched but 3 died??? idk but I'm happy happy happy with 7 calls in all (6 one week olds and 1 three week old) can't for get the 3 week olds buddy, Crusty the Crested lol (it was all crusty after it hatched hence the name Crusty) lol

ps I seen some of those moral (sp?) mushrooms on CL for $15 a lb???

also, I scored some homemade drawers on CL 10 of them i'm gonna put wheels on the bottom of them and roll them under the boys beds once they get upstairs. now well just have to make 24 for all their MANY drawer units. lol
later all off to make supper and iron the MANY shirts that I got for you guys lol

Thanks for the info on burdock root is used in Chickenscratch...I was wondering what people did with it. I have to say I dug it out and it smelled very good. Very tasty.

The new chicks are so quiet! I do have one that is in "Band-Aide" therapy for a slight splay foot. He's not that bad but I wanted to see if I can help him. This is the first time I've tried it....For those of you who have done it, how long do y'all normally leave the band-aide on? Do you leave it on for a day or so then check the chicks legs and then do it again if needed?

good morning,, all you people who find ice on the water.. I know your problem.. you get up too early.. stay in bed until the sun is higher and you won't see the ice..

BIL dropped off the big trap already this morning.. Now maybe I can catch something.. He told me to not use meat or I might catch cats.. I told him that around here, cats are on the list.. speaking of cats, I think our winter boarder has left.. we have no females to keep him here..

this cuppa is awful tasting today.. I just dumped whatever was left in the can for a batch and it turned out pretty weak.. I would have been better off had I just rewarmed that old coffee..
Oh well, I guess this is why God created restaurants..

BIL offered to help me plant corn and the rest of the garden again this year.. IDK about that .. by the time we were finished last year we were grumping at each other.. He has no patience . and I have certain ways I want things done,,, (like correctly !!).. we even argued about how deep to set the depth guage on the hand push planter.. then he planted the beets on top of the beans.. I guess he was getting tired.. but we had a ball !!!

today I have to pick up the two bird cages..

I still didn't make out my list for potted plants.. More pondering time..

you know, ducks aren't THAT messy......... UNTIL their a week old lol I just cleaned their box at 3:00 and they have it totally wet in there. I need someone to build me one of jims wire floor coops/brooder/??? I'm sure I have all the stuff laying around here somewhere lol
