I always thought that a bear's normal range was about 20 miles.. being kicked away by Mamma and searching for his own domain could easily have brought him back to you..

Not everybody has a pet bear..

You are now his pappa, so you should not hurt his feelings.. maybe put out a few extra treats so he won't be lonesome for his mamma..

One more time, and then I am going to scrounge up some lunch..

I tilled up a good chunk of the garden planted 2 rows of beans .. 9 hills of cukes.. still have the squash to do and the garden is done..

Nephew came out and I helped him install a double wide screen on the French Patio doors.. I am glad he was the engineer on this project,, It is so nice to be just a helper for a change.. I sat and drank coffee for a large portion of my participation.. Like I said, it was nice..

And you kept your mouth shut too !!!! That's one thing I haven't mastered when DH is working on a project BUT a lot of the time my input is good sound advice......... Seriously, since I am mechanially inclined like my dad..... between DH and I we manage to get the job done...... I didn't say well just done !!! lol

PS Don't be silly, as you already know a chicken can be here today and gone tomorrow. Like in drop dead gone. If you really want to get into lavenders I would always have a back up rooster. I know first hand with my Dominique's. I at first thought I had three roosters. Then found out one was a Barred Rock Roo. Then I only had two. Something told me to hang on to two, well my instincts were right. Found one dead one day. Now I still have a Dominique Roo. Now to only get the pens up so I can breed more.

To pooped to tell my days events but to give you a hint. Two men knocked on my door this morning (yes I was up by 10am) (and dressed) (Luckily) since I had just put my 4 mallard, 3 runner and 2 goslings out in the ice shack last night. It is there new brooder. We fenced in an area around it and tomorrow I'm letting them out to play. Anyway I had to get them food and water.

Well anyway when I went to answer the door I knew one of the guys but not the other. Took a Atv ride with them both looking at property lines and tonight after DH and I went to town for shrimp at the drive in we went to the new guys house and to sum it up I was checking him for ticks !!!!!!!! While DH was standing right there....... and no I hadn't been drinking them !!!!

So put that under your cap and think about it....... hey I've noticed when I do spell check that I really can spell pretty dang good under the influence !!!!! Ok before you all think I'm a lush, I'm just sipping but don't do it often !!!!

Just thought I would share some pictures of my horses on the day they all escaped on to the 20 acre unfenced hay field. They sure loved it !!! Picture was taken with my Ceil phone so not the sharpest.

bl4... glad the ducklings foot is improving!

Apyl... Yep, it was last falls deer and I never got around to doing the grind, just had it froze in chunks. Ground it all up and there was a handful left, I run a potato through the grinder to help unstick any meat that's left so I fried it up with the left over meat and made myself a little plate of venison hash! Yumm!

Not only do I have to find where the guineas are laying.... but I only found 6 hen eggs today! Normally I get 16 to 20! Gave the girls a lecture on how I have to sell the eggs so I have money to buy them food!
