Good Morning/Evening all !!
Got home from the graduation about an hour ago. I'm beat to say the least. I did all the driving, about 354 miles round trip.
Anyway, update on horse. I called the woman today and asked if she got the saddle from her cousin in Rhinelander. She was suppose to bring it to her yesterday. She said she was bringing it today (Sunday). So I will call her tomorrow.
I asked her if her husband brought the horse water that night and she said yep and a bale of hay.
I'm planning on calling her tomorrow to see if I can come look at the saddle (excuse to go see her again) and then I'm going to bring the horse some treats and make sure I have some water with me in case he doesn't have any.
I stopped at Walmart tonight and got some carrots too.
My plan right now is to stay in touch with her and on friendly terms. I'll check out the saddle and if it's something I can use I'll see what she wants for it and the horse. If it's totally out of line I'm going to offer to help her find a home. Offer to put him on CL etc. That way more people will see him and WHEN it gets reported she won't know who reported her.
I wish the horse was advertised, it would make it a lot easier to report it. The problem is like i said, there is no way you can see this horse from the road and the driveway is Loooonnnng and it is on HWY 45 so I don't think you could sneak this horse out. Plus who knows if he would load, that would get attention for sure.
I put an ad on CL searching for his previous owner. Said I am considering buying the horse and would like more background info. My neighbor said years ago he delivered 60 bales of hay to this womans place and the horse looked old then.. Who knows how old this poor fellow is really. She may have gotten an old horse to begin with. No excuse for the sores on his face and the goopy eyes though.
Hopefully it will be a bit cooler on Monday. Tuesday is suppose to be much cooler.
Keep your fingers crossed for my tomorrow. So far she acts like she likes me (she may see dollar signs hey) (little does she know this bank is broke lol)
Had a wonderful time at the party. My nephew is so dear to my heart. He deserves happiness in his life. He was only 7 yrs old when my parents were murdered. They babysat him since his was born and were like second parents to him. Then just prior to their murder his parents (my brother and his wife) got divorced. Poor poor nephew lost so much in such a short time.
I'll never forget he asked his mom if bad guy stole the lincoln logs that he always played with my dad. She said no. Then he asked if there was blood on them. It broke my heart and still does. I kept thinking the whole way down there that my Mom and Dad would be so proud of him. They should have been here for this. I picked out a card for him that reminded me of them.
Whenever my parents babysat my Mom would call me up and say "The little Man is here" and I'd come over and play with Eli. I kept hearing her voice saying those words today. So I guess they were there today, in spirit.
My SIL had several pictures posted and there were some of Eli with my Mom and Dad that I had never seen. Priceless !!
So this party was for my X SIL's family. On the 23rd I go to Racine to my Brothers house to another party for Eli and his step brother who also graduates. Most likely a fish fry. YUM !!
Ok, well I had better take my ambien so I get up before noon. I don't sleep well after a long drive. My neuropathy's in my hands and arms drive me nuts.

I'll keep you all posted on the horse. Don't worry, I will not give up. I just don't want to be arrested or make an enemy with someone like that. I've been warned by the neighor about her.
