I've been out watering the heck out of the garden here too. The predicted storms for last night didn't give us enough to even beat down the dust. Lawn is looking crispy here. At least the heat is gone! I hosed down the girls' run a couple of times yesterday to cool them off. The loved laying the the cool wet dirt when I was done.

HI all! apparentally I haven't been on for like 4 days!?

I haven't been keeping up either ( I know shame on me) lol
I've been biking my internet time away lol 5-8 miles a DAY! lol of course I exchanged the bike for a swimming suit this weekend lol I agree with BL4 it's best to run/ride in the a.m. its just cooler lol of course I couldn't ride this morning I had to get to the bank and feed mill to hot now. maybe I'll leave at 8 lol either that or I'll ride to my moms house (5.3 miles) jump in her pool then ride back and jump into the shower lol
ok I gotta run, cleaning the house and yard this week to get ready for a birthday party on saturday

Yep, I plan on going to the bash. Might just bring a lawn chair and sit at Jims booth and harass him all morning.

Sure wish these things were in the morning though. Just go up not to long ago. Still beat from the drive.

No not on crutches, just at night when I take my contraption off. What I really need to do is lose some weight so I don't get so much friction. Just wish I could control the weather !!! TG the place was air conditioned yesterday. It was at the John Deer Union hall in Horicon. Nice place.

Still sipping on coffee, trying to wake up. This little fan is my best friend !!!

Thank you everyone for your offers to help the horse. I've got all of the numbers written down.
I think I should give her some time to analyze the situation. I'll pester her but slowly. One wrong move and I think she'll order me off her property and I'll never see the horse again. Plus f the authorities are called she might just move it to another place and then I'll never find it.
I've had no emails from my ad on CL.
Anyway, maybe it would be best for anyone that wants to contact me about the horse to hover over my name and then click on EMAIL. I know the mods can look at our Pm's.

Just got off the phone with the horse owner. Her cousin was bringing the saddle from Rhinelander last night and blew a tire and ended up in the ditch and had a huge lump on her head. She is still at the hospital and is getting out this afternoon.
She is going to be alright. And she was only going to bring the saddle

I feel terrible about that.

Anyway, the Horse owner is going to Rhinelander to see her cousin and her husband is going to bring he saddle back.
She said she'll call me in a few hours.

I asked if she knew what brand and she said she didn't but she ordered if from FF, the biggest one they had.. don't know if she means widest (for the horses back) or longest for big fat people (which she isn't but I am LOL)
She said she has his coggins test from 10 years ago. I told her I'd like to see it so I can contact the previous owners about his training or lack of.

I kind of sense a bit of relief on her part that this horse might be leaving. When I asked again how much just for the horse she said make an offer because she is going to be loosing her house. I think that's why she is pushing the sale of the saddle. If it's a decent saddle I'd basically buy that and get the horse !!

I do feel bad. I know it sounds weird but I really think she loves the horse although it doesn't show physically.
Ok, better get some things done. Still pooped. That's the problem with my road trips. Take one day off and three to recoop !!

FT... my fingers are crossed for you. Always happy to hear a sad situation turned around.
Let me tell you it so muggy and hot... been working in the garage setting up the rummage sale and we go big. I usually have a dozen or more tables set up and tons of stuff around. We try to clean 0out and this year it is my stuff, my best friend, my mom and some things from my SIL. Just dealing with my best friends stuff that she priced like it is for craigslist or ebay rather than a rummage sale and I am scared that people will see her price tags ( about 1/4 of the stuff) and run out before looking at the other stuff. She will be there at hte rummage so I cant tell people that and hurt her feelings but... she had $10 on a board game... that is ridiculous to me... it is used!!!

Anyway... off my rant... just want to sell stuff and clear it out and get my garage back. It is a lot of work setting up each year. Hoping we make lots of money and then I will feel really good about all the hard work. In the mean time I sweat and set it up and pray the kids dont knock it all off the table before the sale. They are working on their lemonade signs in the mean time.

Ugh, working third shift SUCKS: I have no idea how anyone who does this for a living can stand it. Wake up Saturday at 4:30 AM, stay up until 4AM Sunday, sleep a little, run around a little, sleep some more, finally get to work at 10:30 and work until 7AM..... come home and sleep until noon...... have breakfast for lunch..... is it still only Monday?????? Took a little cat nap this afternoon so I am feeling pretty good now. Pretty peeved about missing my running for the past 3 days. I thought about running this AM, but I was soooooo pooped there was just no way.

I find that running in the morning is not only cooler, but there are less bugs! Always a plus!

Now I'm just chillin' with a Margarita and my honey.....

of course there are a couple of fur coats hanging around with us too!

Ok, so who wanted call ducks? Big Fam? TO? Julie? I cannot believe we have not lost ONE of those babies; all nine that hatched are still kicking along with the three that hatched the weekend of the Bash! Time to relocate a few I think....

Ok, getting off of here. No Joe I am not annoyed with you; Or BigZ either.

hi all, here are my replies, not in any particular order or to anyone in particular..

FT . yes, Karin was here on Sunday and bought 30 keets.. somebody else was here on Saturday and bought 15, and just a few minutes ago a guy was here and bought 7.. I am just about tapped out of keets.. I think I might have about 6 left..
I picked up 44 eggs from Marlene today.. that should help in about 4 weeks from now.. Her eggs are due to hatch this week sometime..

I think I might just sort out the turkeys, quail and keets from the one brooder pen and just leave the barred rocks and Delawares in there.. then I might take the larger of those chickens and turn them in with the lean to flock..

we did have rain this morning.. I counted,,, about 40 drops to the acre.. when the drops hit the dirt, dust flew up..

I finished up with the ground cover fabric, and spread hay around all the cukes and squash.. the peas are up.. Annie weighed the corn seed that was left in the planter.. 1 pound !!! that means that only one pound got planted.. shlt. I am so mad at my nephew.. I kept asking him if the seeds were dropping and is the corn level going down in the hoppers ?? "Oh yes.". then how come we have ANY seeds left , Dumbo ??? Another 3 weeks of good growing weather shot in the ***** ... I am going to till up a section of the corn patch and HAND PLANT the one pound of seeds.. I can only imagine what the rest of the patch is going to look like.. anybody need a 50 x 100 foot garden spot ?? IDK what to plant in there.. maybe I will "buckwheat" that whole area for next year..

Our backordered beet seed finally came.. sheesh !

I have yet to plant a perfect garden..

FYI.. I like the idea of stealing the horse,, but DON"T do it.. you would end up in more trouble than the horse owner.. If she could prove that the horse is worth $4000.oo. it would be grand theft.. and as long as she has that price tag on it,, it is worth $4000.oo at the moment.. Regardless of what anybody else' opinion is.. and as it stands, she is still the owner,, and not convicted of any neglect..

I think I will go look at the garden,, if it is not too bad, maybe I will not cry..

I hear ya Jim !!! That's why I'm lying low. I prefer to stay out of jail. I don't like just bread and water.....Oh wait they get good food in prison. Remember a few years back they had lobster on New Years Day, cause the state got it for $1 a pound. My comment, Chicken wings are $.69 a pound.
Guess I have prison on my mind since I had to drive past the Wapun sign yesterday, gets me every time

Dry Day Here Again....can't even remember the last rain...it was in May for sure. Now I have 80 gallons bottled up in used 5 gal rennet jugs from the wega milk producers....been using them for over 10 years and they never leak...nice jugs.

Nope I'm not mad at other's opinions either... I'd love to keep a happy family here. I'm that way. Life is shorter than you young ones realize yet.... no time to be mad at anyone

Tilled the one garden today....had 2 or 3 cold ones for bl4 and tilled some more.
Sure is fricken dry here for the middle of June. Glad I'm good and wet though.

Lobster? Where was that prison? Prolly the one Bernie Madoff is in. I used to have to be in charge of a bunch of guys in Huber and some of them also delivered food to the prison kitchens. He said the boxes of chicken were stamped with "not fit for human consumption in the U.S." on them. Yet another reason to stay out of jail, eh?
