good morning, i already had a cuppa out in the zoo area.. we had a good half inch or so of rain.. lots of branches and a few trees down between here and Wausau.. and one power line was down on hwy U.. I have not been down to check the garden.. Annie said it looked OK as she drove past it.. she is buying a couple of crates of peaches from "the truck"..

the cherries are getting red.. the birds noticed that too..

I am having my brother come out about noon to show me how he prunes his tomatoes.. I have to keep him here long enough for his sons to install a 400 pound gun safe in his TV room for father's day.. surprise !!

53 guinea eggs going into the bater as soon as I sign off of here.. also 4 turkey and 2 goose.

I talked to a friend about pressing the sleeves out of my tractor engine.. doesn't sound like a major undertaking.. I will have to either borrow, rent , steal, or make a tool ..

first I am going to call around to see what it would cost to hire it done..

OK.. time for a bit o' breakfast and then outside I go..

DrH, the one I built has 125 fingers in it.. the drum type commercial one has about 150 on the drum..

You can get by with less on the drum type, but you get more "chatter".. I have another drum type with only about 35 fingers on a 10 inch dia drum.. It needs a new set of bearings, though..

sounds like the boss just came home..

Hate to bother you with more questions but... How "did" the small one work for you? Any thoughts on selling it? Being a small flock keeper wouldn't need a big one, single bird plucker would be perfect for me.

Handsome horse for sure !!! First I would start with a very thick pad which would raise the saddle. I know Parelli makes shims that will help that. I'm trying to get ahold of my sister and when I do I'll ask her. She had a Standardbred that had very high withers too.

Are there any saddle shops in your area that do saddle fitting? You wouldn't need to buy from them but you can get their opinions.

Check out www.jeffers.com. They may have some saddles.

Then there is www.horse.com think that is is. It is countrysupply

I ordered draft saddles from Jeffers and they have great customer service.

I'll let you know as soon as I hear from my sister. Looks overcast here but not raining. Guess is as good a day as any to work on the fence AGAIN.

Oh VickyW do you ever eat at Post Lake in? I'd like to try their friday fish fry if my sister and bil want to go out. Is it any good? We had a deluxe pizza there the other night and it was pretty good.

Oh and Drha, funny you would mention that about waving the bottle. DH handed me what was left from a quart of our apple pie shots last night . He said, to relax. Well our power went out too and I could only play solitaire on my puter using the battery. Boy did I get a buz. Maybe a quart of that would help her make up her mind, either that or get her meaner then a skunk and she'd clobber me for enabling !!! LOL

She texted me last night or this morning and said sorry for not calling, no power and no money !!!! If you can text why can't you call ?

Anyway, wish my sister would call. I wanna plan my day and she is only up here for another day.

Oh freakin great. Called Dh to see if he got his check yet so I could go deposit it. He said the boss is coming in. I think he is a bit worried about getting laid off. He said it's real real slow. He sad when gas is high business is better. When it goes lower busniness is slower !!!
?????????????? Weird. Guess Waukesha bearing is slow in June and they are a big customer.

Geez........... If it ain't one thing it's a couple dozen of another....... in this case not eggs. Gotta go collect !!

No rain here what so ever!!! Our water bill is gonna be high after watering the garden, our hops & garlic, and random bits of the yard. Any perennial can stand on its own, so I haven't watered any of those unless they are new starts as of Spring. According to the radar, it will be hot here for the next week and little chance of rain

I bought my oldest DD new soccer supplies yesterday for her competition in Knoxville. Yikes $$$ !

The girls and I went over to the new neighbors house to introduce ourselves....I get a really strange vibe from the guy and I didn't meet his wife, but so far very odd people. Supposedly there are only 2 people living there and 4 vehicles????? They also have 2 dogs, one of which howls all of the time (hound call).

I hope to take the kids to the neighborhood pool today for couple of hours. Oldest DD has soccer practice later and middle child/youngest DD has a sleepover to go to later as well. Our son is already bored today, so he will be REALLY bored with the girls gone!

I am looking for a book about making different types of cheese to get for my DH! Anyone have a suggestion?

It rained and stormed a lot here yesterday. After supper the wind picked up and was very very strong. It lightninged and boomed for hours.

On the evening news they said that in last months storm Eau Claire lost 3000 trees. 1500 public trees and 1500 private trees. We are still cleaning up. In some places I see there are still huge trees with their roots and everything laying down.

Fish fry @ Post lake Inn? Ah, NO. Used to be a great place for fish fry years ago but it's changed hands and it just kept getting worse and worse to the point we don't get from them at all anymore. But to be honest, we haven't tried them at all this year. The ONLY place we go for all you can eat FishFry is Hill's Still on 55. Full soup and salad bar (don't know if PLI still even has one, didn't the last time we were there) and you get both broasted chicken and fish for the all you can eat or you can order just a regular fish dinner and their prices are really good for what you get. It's easy to get to. Just take K to 55 and head south 4 miles or so. Can't miss it. It's at the bottom of the hill on the left and there will be a gas station/general store on the right. Don't know if you've ever been there but they have re-done their wild animal window (aka stuffed wild animal display) and it looks a lot fresher. You can call ahead and reserve a table but if you get there before 5:30 or so that usually isn't a problem. However, this is Brush Run weekend so who knows? If you go, let me know what you think.
