Cind, so sorry to hear about Tiny. That just stinks.
As DrH so correctly said, I personally will never get another production strain ever again. Actually I never chose them to begin with. I bought "assorted pullets" at
TSC.
They are a fine breed for someone who wants huge eggs in a hurry then fill up the freezer by 1 1/2 years old, but that isn't for me. I think MLH had better luck with them, though, but I won't take a chance on them again.
Dooner, so glad to hear from you again. Sure hope you & your DW are feeling better real soon.
Vic, so sorry to hear about Soup being such a Heather, I mean beyotch.
I hope you get her attitude adjusted quick.
BL4, I couldn't agree with you more on waking up to purring fluffballs. Must be getting chilly at night, hey?
Marg, sorry to hear you are all sick & Shandy still isn't better. Hope you are all well soon, and best wishes for a good chickie prognosis.
Ghost, glad to hear the pups are keeping you busy & are adapting well. Nothing like new babies to help the healing process.
Cute pics too! And good luck to Adam!
Bigfam, you woosie!
With a "W"!
Wow Terri, you were busy! Congrats on the juice experiment! I hear ya on canning toms. I was bummed when I only got 9 quarts.
But at least it's done!
Unk, you crack me up!
Better post this before I lose it. Should get to bed too. Lots of chickie drama the last couple of days. DH bought me an auto door for the coop. Trying to get them used to it has been "challenging", to say the least. Bigfam, Hershey & her sisters are the only ones to have it down, probably because they're the youngest & not as set in their ways? Anyway, I got Moose & his harem to come out of it this morning, but they promptly forgot all about it the rest of the day. A couple of them even used it a few times during the day but had no clue at dusk.
Stupid chickens. Lots more but I'm tired. Sweet dreams, all!
