Wisconsin "Cheeseheads"

Evening All... good to hear that everything went well today for the bash.

Glad we pulled off a win today...no help from the refs today again. That's for sure.

We have 3/4 of the coop stained. More labor than I figured and neede to pick up a third gallon of stain @ $40 a pop. If I woulda paid someone $500 to stain the coop, it woulda been fair.

Had another light brahama grabbed today. Like a shot in the dark...jennie was just out by the coop and within minutes the brazen sob who ever it was had apile of feathers by the coop. I tracked the culprit through the corn to the edge of the woods....dang.....thinkin bobcat or big yote.....this hen was easily 10lbs....one of my bigger ladys and of corse a favorite of me and jennie and suzie. The risk one takes when free ranging. dang culprits.

Nice pics thanks for sharing.

Suzie did another 15 pints of salsa today...not many maters left now. Glad you tried the V8 juice ghost. With all the veggies, we feel safe with the pressure canner. They have a good deal on lids at the amish store in marion.

Back from the Roo drop (actually I have been back for about an hour)..... a lot of driving for one day, but so happy to see everyone! I have been messing with the camera, I will have to post pics later.

BigFam, the kids had a wonderful time! They have let their dad know that a four wheeled vehicle would be a nice Christmas present.... everything was great, you were a fantastic hostess.

Judge, I forgot to tell you that the one issue with that roo is he is a pain to catch (good thing I did not lose him in the parking lot).Thank you so much for the canned goodies!!!

CC, thank you for the Irises, I will get them in the ground ASAP which will be either this weekend or next Mon or Tues (whatever day I do not work at the UW).

Glad you all enjoyed the cheesecake, my DH was also happy that some of it came back home for him!

Hard to keep my eyes open..... night all.

Hi All, Got back a little after 7:30 had to make a "pit stop" on the way hope.

CC ... sorry, I didn't know Rams was sick again

Glad you made it anyway!

Judge... if your out their.... DH suprised me on the way home. He said that roo was his fav. so he was glad you took him so he could have his own hens. Like I said, he hasn't been handled allot but has been pretty good once you have him. Spoil him a bit and have the kids spoil him and I'm sure he'll be a fine roo. Also have the kids handle the hens around him right away so he knows the hens aren't threatened by the kids. This should be done before he "takes over" the hens and thinks they are all his. He's 5 mo. old so he's young and now is a good time to work with him.

Amy.... The seeds came yesterday

Well, stuff to do..... night all!

The first step to solving a problem is dmitting you have one. It's a "bitter" pill to swallow. :D

And there is NOTHING more annoying than to drive a go cart to church and park it on their lawn. ;)

I personally will sit back and try very hard to not create problems. (Zip it CC, it's true :p) but if someone were to send me a letter saying I was causing problems wherever I go... Well nelly, I'd sure be starting then. My own personal sermon on "judge not lest ye be judged" would be said in church. So don't be bitter, be creative in your reciprocation... :D ;)

Dam, dam, DAM!!!!!!!!!!!! I didn't get any cheesecake!!!!! I saw it & was going to go get some, but I was too busy flapping my yap & forgot about it.

Thank you all for your well wishes for Ramses. The "emergency" shots the vet had given us in case of an issue seemed to help him greatly, so we didn't have to rush him in to the 24 emergency clinic this morning. Thank goodness for that. He is really looking a lot better, but we will be taking him in first thing tomorrow so his regular cardiologist can see him. Keep your fingers crosssed, please.

Bigfam, that is going to be one heck of a popsicle!

It was great fun seeing everyone today, I just wish there was more time to chat. Kristi, I really wanted to talk to you more too. I sure hope you can make it to the Bigzio Bash in the spring.

MLH, Gracie is a cutie for sure! I like that pic much better than the one on your phone.

We made it home in time to catch the end of the game too. Glad the outcome was much better this week! Terri, I'm sure you were on the edge of your seat pulling in the driveway.

Happy Autumn day to all of you! Looks like it is going to be a beautiful day. Haven't been on here for awhile, but i hope you are all well. Glad to hear your bash went well, hopefully I can make it in the spring. All is well here, and we are so excited about the new roo from Cindlady. He is so pretty- can't wait for the hubby to see him. He wanted a fancy one, lol. Gotta go check on everyone, and make sure our naughty goats didn't get out again. Nothing like chasing fainting goats around the driveway as the bus is pulling in. At least it got my heart going right away in the morning. Our new mini horse was gelded on Thursday, and seems to be doing well. Hopefully he calms down a little now.
