Task for hosting today Heather..it was so nice to put names and faces together and talk chicken for a few hours. (Robin wish we had more time to chat!! Next time) would have had more time if not for crazy kids... Lets see what spring brings...

Hope everyone had a safe drive home

Evening all!!
The Mini Bash was a bunch of fun! It was great to see some of our gang and chatting! Heather's place it beautiful!
So for those you there that wanted to see a pic of "The Chihuahua Pit Bull" mix I have, here she is! Her name is Grace but we have many names for her, mostly Gracie or Who Bear. She weights about 25#'s and is quite the Princess and snotty spoiled dog!

I have more pics, that are better on the other lap top. I'll have to see what I can find. But there you go-a Chia-Pit! or Pit-huahua.

What fun we had too! (and the Pack pulled off the win as we pulled into the driveway) The white elephant was fun...I came away with a bunch of garlic and a coffee mug! Perfect for me for sure. The food was great (someone else will have to comment on the lasagne) THe GF cheesecake was fabulous...of course we all know what a fantastic baker BL4 is!

SO now here at home with Tommy installed in his inside cage. He had a good time too. Loved all the attention and the boozy cherries too! Now he is tired.
I havent gone out to close up yet...thinking if I want to make something for supper or just have my traditional sunday popcorn.
I am glad I dont have to go to work early tomorrow. Good night all! TerriOneedingtoletthedogsbackin

(PS) I forgot to bring the thing for you BL4!!! I just realized...shoot!

good PM, sounds like the bash went well.. Don't they all ?

Annie and I rounded up just about all the roosters and put them in the "fattening up" pen.. Next Saturday they will all go to chicken heaven.. there are about 25 of them,, I am going to keep only 2 over winter..

Adam and I heard the tractor run.. Only the carburetor still won't work.. I am going to take it off one more time and soak it in some carb cleaner solution..

Annie sold 2 cockatiel babies to a lady today.. this same lady is looking for a canary. can't seem to find any in the wausau area, I guess..

Annie got up before 4 AM.. by the time I went upstairs at about 5AM, she had two loaves of bread rising and two apple pies in the oven.. As long as she does that about once a week, I think I will keep her around..

...........jiminwisccomingdownfromanailbitingfinishtothePackergame........

PS we want the temp refs back.. THAT WAS a fumble, dunderhead...

Jim... We missed your smiling chipper persona today... I'll have to attach myself to your hip for Bigz Bash. That way I can catch the few words you say in person! :D

There's a jug of sangria left over here. I'm thinking of turning it into a slush by freezing it. Doesn't that sound yummy!?

I think everything went well today. I didn't see any blood shed. I did see the kids laughing and having fun. I did see adults doing the same. Note to self: put together lasagnas the night before. Lots less stress on a gal!

I gave CC my Dominique hen Stella so she can marry Moose the Dominique rooster. (That's what I told the kids. I don't want them to know about chicken sex out of wedlock!) i get to look forward to some beautiful dom eggs in te spring i think!

I gave a silkie Roo to MXM. He is a good boy and should be quite happy being the only male with her full size females. (Hubba Hubba. For him!) Chloe looked so cute holding this fluffy white chicken. And now the Guineas won't get him anymore either. He is a curious one, and when he gets out of the pen, the Guineas attack him and pick lots of feathers off him. I think he'll be very happy in his new home.

I need to get my incubator going tomorrow. I should have eggs coming this week. I need to get things settled temp wise before they get here. Lets see if my previous bad hatches have made me smarter this time around,.,

I have to go help my child with his math and get the rest to bed. I hope everyone had a great time today and look forward to hanging with my peeps again!
