Wish List for the New BYC

Starting this thread to post "wishes" for future updates for BYC. I'm hoping that we can post ideas that they would like in future updates so they'll all be listed in one place and easy to find.

Would like to see who's currently viewing the thread like we had on the old site.

I wish that there was a "box" of current viewers on each thread.

Not sure what one would call this "Box"...and area on the screen where one could see who all is viewing the thread.

The option for someone mentioning you in a thread is already here.
Look under ALERT PREFERENCES :

yep...thanks for trying though. I know there is alert, just no email notification option that I can find. I really like to get email on those since folks usually mention you when they'd like a quick response.

Oddly, I miss the post count that allowed you to see this is post #4 of 15. It helped me gauge the length of the thread better by how many overall posts there were in it.

I hope the photo libraries are returning (I think that transition is coming but just time consuming?)

I too miss the article library

And the ability to bookmark a thread so that you can put it in your own personal library to find again. Or even a specific post, article, etc. There's a lot of information on here, and I'd like to be able to categorize it so that I can find what was useful to me in my own little library corner.

Thank you for all the hard work you do to make this awesome site available...I know you've got a lot more to do to get all functionality working.

Some wish items from me to start:

-Option for Email notification if someone @mentions me.

-Number of unread posts listed in the watched threads/forums list. Would love it if it looks much like the old "subscriptions" in the former byc.

In the "sidebar" (to the right)... we're looking for ways to maybe add viewers / viewed threads... but no promises.

Would LOVE to have the albums in each thread like we had in the old version. Really liked being able to search through the photos.
