OMG Darlene!!! Travis is such a cutie!!! (don't tell him an old lady said that, it would gross him out! LOL!)

Jacie you kill me!! Unfortunately he hears that alot, and his girlfriend is a Hooter's girl 6 years older than him..those racers have no trouble getting the girls!!..hear that Drumstick!!! PC & Sara, I guess great minds think alike, lol! Actually we were really careful about our kids names not wanting names that other people could shorten but wanting names they could either be trash collecotrs or Presidents with so we ended up with Erin & Travis. Thank ya'll for supporting my other hobby, lol!! Hopefully he'll win the points championship this year and get noticed by a NASCAR capable sponsor, never know but we've been working toward that for 11 years. My chickens are his cheerleaders, lol!! Bet LCRT could make that happen!!!​

My wife and I thought hard about his name. We wanted a nice name, not
too common, not too uncommon, and something very American.
It didn't hurt that two of my favorite musicians are Travis Tritt and Randy Travis.

"It's a Great Day To Be Alive" by Travis Tritt is a song I play in my head every day.

Our Travis should do fine with the ladies. He has a few that follow him around like
puppies now. Of course he will be taught to honor and respect women.

There is something about the name "Travis" that stimulates the inner daredevil.

PC & Sara, I guess great minds think alike, lol! Actually we were really careful about our kids names not wanting names that other people could shorten but wanting names they could either be trash collecotrs or Presidents with so we ended up with Erin & Travis.

That's a lot of why we picked Travis. I'm not really into nicknames, so I wanted something that couldn't be shortened. I wanted names that sort of said all american farm/country boy, so we have Brent and Travis. Travis was almost Curtis, but I didn't want him to be called Curt..I'm weird about that.

I always say our Travis could be a racecar driver because he has no fear. How did you get your son started?​

LOL Don!!! You are so funny!!! Thank you and lol, and not necessarily in that order, haha!! He'll be 18 in April so yes, considering that she is 23 and a real head turner, he is getting an education that I don't even want to know about! She is really sweet, had a dental assisting degreee, saves her money, smart girl, we like her alot, needless to say he likes her lot too! He took her to a high school football game and from what I heard later gained alot of bragging rights from his friends ...so good luck Drum!! With that cute smile, I see Hooters in your future too, lol

Sara, get your Travis into go-karts and go from there, we raced all the National and State World Karting Associtiaon races for years and won many of them, then moved to stock cars on pavement then stock carson dirt..the redneck in me loves the dirt the best, loL! It's a fun family thing that we are all involved in..and even though we picked his name knowing he could vary from trash collector to president...we still hope for the NASCAR ride!!
