Your last quote reminds me of the pre-attack of Pearl Harbor in WWII....they knew about it but we were too naive that the wars were going on over in Europe and we didn't expect the Japanese to spring an attack on our soil. We as a nation CAN NOT let our guard down but we can not let fear conquer us.

It is morning in Egypt, I'll tune in and see what's going on.

Some analysts we heard thought as dramatic as this seems to us, 'it's happened many times there'.

We shall see, we shall see.

Think we could sue the government for whiplash??

Who needs cable? We've got drama and the jackarse movie running every day in the news.

Oh sorry I was just making a joke. You go into other countries and ask people, "Why is America bad?" You'll be there for days! It doesn't matter if it's true or not, but trust me when I say whatever reasons people have - it's a lot more than that!!

That is so true that "you'll be there for days". LOL I have traveled quite a bit in Asia and it was pretty eye opening to read a newspaper not written in the USA, even the school books have a different viewpoint. One I remember was reading an account of the treatment of the native people by the newly formed USA in a high school history book. Another was the invasion of Grenada, I was in Hong Kong at that time and they looked at it quite different than we did.

Be fair no one has won fighting Afanistan.

But our leaders seem to think we can?

But as Americans, we have a distaste for some other nationalities as well....right or wrong. I personally don't give two hoots what anyone else thinks of America. We have enough Americans denigrating our nation to worry about others input as well!

Everyone seems to think that they have the greatest country and others suck.

We definitely are a long way from perfection....
