I am so happy for you, those boys better get on it before February so you can hatch out some cute babies!

Jessica will be happy to hear that she is laying. She wishes she would have kept her. She misses her terribly! But we needed to downsize on the bigger ducks.

When do the calls start to lay do you know,......what age? You should see all the calls we have now. Lucked into a few pairs at an auction. Got a pair of East indies! 2 pair of snowy calls, a bunch (too many) butterscotch or apricot call males. I need some girls for them! The 2 grey hens from you (yep both are hens) and one other grey hen, something got the male and i am so disappointed. I figure I can get some next spring ready for breeding.

i'm not sure what age they start laying, but i know they only lay during certain times of year. mine were laying during the summer and your two babies were the last eggs they laid.

i'm sorry your daughter misses her, just let her know that she has a great forever home and is very spoiled! loads of treats and two VERY attentive boyfriends!!

Was one of the babies born earlier than the other? It seems she is like 4-5 days or so behind the other one as in growing feathers and such. The bigger one has her greenblue feathering and the other one is just now getting them.

I will tell Jessica, she will be excited!

I am by far an expert, but I believe I have heard they should lay the spring after they are hatched. Not sure though! I know none of mine have laid eggs at all yet, and they should be plenty old enough!

That is just too funny, they look like they are like a week or 2 apart, I thought you had said they were born in september sometime.

And I love her anyway!!!! They are so cuddly and funny! I wish you could see them in the tub! What a hoot!
