Wood Chip Bath

I just went out to check on the girls and one of the pullets was "digging" into the pine shavings, and then flipping them up onto her. It took me a second, but I realized she was "dust bathing". I guess as soon as I can find room for some sand, I will have to put some in for them.

My 5 week olds seem to enjoy that when I change pine chips. When I first saw that I thought they had some thing wrong with them. We have a second floor deck with about 2' of space under it that has powered sand mixed with clay. I figure they will dust bath in that once the weather warms and I put them out. It is fun to watch.
