And now there gone.
I'm not sure if this was the right thing to do or not, but the wildlife vet persisted and the rehaber who I was communicating with was more concerned about getting the ducks then there actual health and well being...
So, I listened to the wild life vet. They told me to take the little ones and release them near the tree where they had been originally found and just let nature take its course.
Given the fact that the rehaber began threatening me, I decided it would just be best to do what the vet said rather then get into a situation I was highly uncomfortable with...
All I can do now is just cross my fingers that mom is still in the area and takes them, since the home owners by the tree said she had been sighted I hope that it works.

Sorry that this happened to you, but they won't survive, I hate to say. Is there another rehabber you can contact? Can you go back and get them?

The rehabber will take good care of them, I'm sure. She will feed them the right food and get them into good health.

There are only two in my state, one never got back to me willingly and the other one...Im not going to play a he said she said game, so im leaving it at I was threatened and to me they had more interest in simply obtaining the ducklings then there safety and well-being so I was highly uncomfortable about giving them to them. Every one I talked to said good call...
Im not happy about it either, but since its illegal for me to raise them without a licence, even though I had no intent on keeping them, I was not quiet about having them...I had no other options, not even a duck friend I could pass them off to :(
I even called a wild life officer during all of this, and he said the same dang thing! Good call, and just put them back where you found them and let nature take its course...Ugh...
Then even if I did go back and found them still alive, what would I do besides put myself right back in the middle of what I was in? All because I followed the rules.
The system stinks, and this isn't fair...
