that sounds like a hostile work place for you to be in.

if you can, update your resume and see if there are any job postings that look like they suit your skills. most places looking for new employees may be better willing to take on someone that is still in their current job than someone who's lost theirs. and it might give you some bargaining with the current employer if you get any offers to move.

I'm ADD and was diagnosed as an adult (although I'd had symptoms all my life, just didn't recognize them). Might want to do a quick google search and take a look at what ADD/ADHD symptoms look like for an adult and see if you might recognize a few. It drove my husband crazy when I'd forget important appointments or I'd say I'd do something and completely forget or lose my train of thought in the middle of sentances. I chose to take medication and it's so much more peaceful when I'm not constantly distracted.

I have to make lists for everything because I know relying on my memory is a weak area. Palm Pilots and PDA's are supposed to be wonderful for forgetful folks.

Deb, things like this come in cycles. To begin with, just sit back and relax. The stress of this will make it worse. Stay in the positive and take extra time to triple check things, whether any of this was your fault or not. You may catch other problems before they happen. You may also begin to get back into your comfort zone. Right now you are on the defensive, feeling insecure about your job, and trapped in the problem. That will come out in your actions and attitudes.

This too shall pass. A prayer asking for strength and acceptance won't hurt either.

Oh my dear, I apologize if I made it sound hostile. It is FAR from it. He is just the kind of guy that gets REALLY irritated by small stuff and a few months ago I made a mistake that stuck in his craw. It's been a little interesting ever since. My OTHER boss, under him, is on my side, and knows that I own up to what IS my fault. I am not innocent here - I have made alot of mistakes lately. I have no desire to move to another job. This situation is not even near THAT bad.

Actually, Don, I have no problem owning up to what IS my fault at all. And I have no problem seeking help to fix the problem. I have been paying very close attention to things this week and I can see that it HAS made a difference. Kevin, the boss man, IS a REALLY good guy, and a very forgiving person. BUT when he gets something stuck in his craw he has a tough time letting it go. Time is on my side. Now, the problem is that when people bring up small errors he zeros in on me first, leaving me to explain who did what when and I had nothing to do with it. The more this happens the better.

Deb You know I've heard that it takes a 100 atta-girls to make up for one Oh s**t!......................Sucks but its True. Prayers for you and me both in the clarity dept.

sorry, i just thought it sounded like that upper boss and the other girl in your office seemed to have it out for you. trying to throw others mistakes in your face.

i guess i would feel a little horrible that i was taking the blame for everything every time. i had a boss that was like that and he eventually had a mental breakdown after i had left the place for a calmer environment.

it sounds like you are handling things better now. good luck with it!
