last your you told how much to dose my peacock for worms. I used Safeguard for 5 days and Valbragzen for 1 day. now I am reading I should use something different so the worms don't build a tolerance to it. With just the one and only being able to keep a large bottle before it expires. I hate to just throw it a way it was quite pricey for both together. Thanks your a big help.
Not sure why you would throw them away? It sounds like you are worming correctly, using the safeguard once a year and the Valbazen once a year. Using the 2 different ones will help prevent the worms from becoming drug resistant. And honestly, just because the bottle has an expiration date doesn't mean it automatically quits working after that date. Generally it will continue to work for a long time, just becoming slightly less effective as time passes. My aspirin bottle expired last year, but I still use it and it still works just fine. Don't throw them out, it is unfortunate that the meds are not available in smaller amounts for people like yourself, who only have 1 bird. These meds will also work for other poultry if you have any.
