She’s my sunshine baby she’s so pretty and golden. My barf certainly doesn’t look like her unless I’ve been eating buff orps

RIRs. Hard to get a friendly, not human aggressive Cockerel/Rooster from them.

Really? RIR roosters are my favorite, it’s the only breed I get a good protector out of. Never had an aggressive RIR. New Hampshire red though, those can be evil.

Yep, had raised RIRs for years, & only had 1 friendly cockerel/Rooster from that breed.

New Hampshires, genetically are Rhode Island Reds, just bred to have a different appearance, & weight.

Agreed. I hate this breed so much I won't even consider them, or any breeds that they were used to create. Chalk it up to childhood trauma!
