worst Christmas present

two that I can think of...

The first wasn't a gift for me, that's what the problem was. My DS got the radio I asked for (she didn't ask for one) The second my parents got me a bike... but it was a old style granny bike, not a 10 speed style that had just come out which is what I wanted. I think I was 12 or so. I never rode that bike. It was a really nice one, but eeeesh!

Wow! you peeps got the sharp end of the stick with christmas gifts.

I tended to avoid any and all family christmas parties. When I was young I tolerated them, now older, weve moved to sc where I have no family on my side, just my wifes. They dont give lame gifts.I guess I am the anomoly around these parts.

Well, not sure if this was the worst gift - just....odd - ok probably my worst...

My MIL, about 10-12 yrs ago, gave me a nightshirt - looked like a t shirt but came down to right above my knees. The logo on the front of it was from, ummmm, "The Mustang Ranch" (well known in these parts of NEVADA as a house of, well, you know - and it had a picture of a ....lady....). The logo on it said that the "Service kept them coming back for more" - hummmmm... wonder what she meant by giving me that?!?

My exwife,[ we remained friends] bought me this stupid, hollow handled hammer, which you were supposed to put nails into and shake the hammer and one nail would fall out...I just laughed and told her that I had a $200 air nailer...I guess I should have kept it, just for the laughs.

My sister bought me a billfold, which did not allow a bill to lay in it completely flat...You had to crease the bill....I told her, "Next time, be sure to give it a test run, and leave the money in it."

When I was a kid and too young to know better, I thought I got a lot of yucky things - the worst gift being a dress as I'm a tomboy. As an adult, I've never received a 'bad' gift because I realize how much thought goes into picking out something you think the other person may like or need. You could give me a used eraser and I'd be happy because I would know that you cared!

I received that same hammer as a gift probably 4 years ago. Still in the original box on the same shelf since the day after Christmas. I didn't even bother to use the nails that came in the box.

Okay, this wasn't a Christmas gift, but it's worth telling anyway. The worst gift, hands down, that I have ever received was a used manual breast pump with old crusty sour dried-up breast milk still in it. It was a baby shower gift!

After that, honestly, unless you gave me dirty underwear I really wouldn't consider anything a bad gift.
