Worst. Shipping. Ever.

yes i have had HORRIBLE packing.

they came in the summer, and it was 110 degrees outside. i would blame USPS for this, but they came SO HOT that i couldnt even hold the BOX!! dont those trucks have air conditioning?? anyways, i opened them, and about half were cracked. i had to throw about 3 away. (they were DESTROYED.) packing wasnt great. they were only put in egg cartons with no padding. (except for ONE tissue paper on each) a bunch of others were cracked, but i set them anyways.

the WORST part?? EVERY SINGLE ONE WAS SOOOO DIRTY THAT I COULDNT EVEN SEE THE SHELL!!! Feces EVERYWHERE!! SO DIRTY!!!! i tried cleaning them, but i broke oner in the process!!! it looked like they were collected like once a MONTH!!! even when i leave MY birds' eggs in for a month they dont get that dirty. i ended up setting 13. 5 hatched, but one died.

Sorry, but I had to laugh.
How stupid can people get?

No extra eggs. Sent 12, 10 arrived not cracked. I just can't imagine that they sent it like this. The carton was just free moving side to side in that box. The carton was all wet and ... well, yuck. I hope the egg goo on the intact eggs does not result in bacteria entering any possibly viable chicks eggs. I messaged today explaining what happened and said the I would leave feedback once I candle them to see if the yolks are all floaters. There were two feedback for them saying that eggs had arrived w/ a few broken. But no one said anything about the packaging and one even declared it all the post offices fault. Which it could well have been. But had there been any feedback about poor packaging - I would not have bought.

I have to say I got the most carefully and lovingly wrapped duck eggs in the mail yesterday from gofasterstripe! Not the hint of anything out of place, when I candled all the air-cells were intact and so much as a dent or ding on the box. An elephant would have had to have sat on the box to damage those eggs!

HI, I had a bad delivery this week also.
One was double boxed, eggs wrapped and in egg carton taped shut....4 eggs smashed, three cracked...........
so disappointed beacuse I really wanted the breed I oredered.
Recieved another package same day, again, 4 smashed eggs.was not impressed with the packing at all.....
The conclusion I came up with is that I will only oreder from BYC members I am familiar with in the future.........
Most of the time, I have recieved great packing and care from these folks.
Hope you are offered replacements.........................

I would take a photo of the mess that was shipped to you. get a full refund. I have only had one shipment of eggs to date from Lisa in S C . not even one tiny crack!! and of 16 sent only 2 were infertile, and she had sent me 6 extras, and a wonderful sample of home made soap. She is very knowledgeable, and I highly recommend her.

lol just had to comment on that- depending on where you live probably not. My dad retired after 35 years of being a rural mail carrier and my mom has been at it for 33 years. Most packages get thrown into the toolbox or in the back of the truck/jeep Air conditioning is pointless since you are driving around with the wondow down all day not to mention it just sucks in more dust. My dad could never get a truck with automatic windows or locks because in 2 months they'd be so full of dust that they wouldn't work! The air conditioner/heater always just blew dust in and usually caked up after 6 months.

and FWIW my eggs are pretty poo-ey if I don't collect immediatly after they are layed (within the hour or so)
