Would someone please calm me down before I flip my lid...

"They're coming to get you Jenna........."

Texas is over-run with roaches. I think the only reason we have never had them is because we are out in the country.

Well I am flipping out reading this post. I will probably have nightmares tonight just thinking about it. That is how terrified I am about a roach.

Crickets or grasshoppers to. If I found a roach in my house tonight I would check into a hotel until the problem was taken care of.

A lot of you guys know I am into snakes. I have 29 snakes, 27 of those being venomous. Most people would be flipping if they saw a snake but not me. lol

I find it totally facinating how fears work. I hope you get things worked out so that you don't flip out. Good luck

I agree, take a BIG breath and then let it out. It's a bug. You are bigger than the bug. You can sleep in your house tonight and have mercy on your DH who has worked all day.

I also agree about the hitchhiker. They do love paper bags, cardboard and such. And they like warm dark places. My sister's apt in DC had them too and she was neat as a pin. It's no reflection on you or your home.

Heck in the South we have to deal with all sorts of nasty insects. Roaches the size of football fields. Demon ants that sting like *&!! and killed my baby chick. Mosquitos so small you can't even see them to slap them when they suck your blood.

Tomorrow go to Lowes or Home Depot and talk to someone about what would be the best thing to use. Tonight boric acid is a good thing to try. I know two elderly ladies who live in old Raleigh and they have to keep it in all of their cabinets and drawers in the kitchen and bathroom. It helps.

You can get through this but it might take a little longer than you'd like. We're pull'n for ya.

If you were a criminal going to rob me, you would not need a weapon, just a roach bug. I would cough up anything you wanted just to get the bug away from me.

It's gonna be okay. I am also terrified of roaches. I used to just have the normal fear, but when I was 7 I got it alot worse. My friend had some hissing roaches, and she said she wouldn't be my friend if I didn't let her put her "pets" all over me. I feel your pain. *shivers*

Once a year, in the spring, I find a roach in the house, freak out utterly about it, and then go to the internet to identify it, only to find out, yet again, that it is a 'pennsylvania wood cockroach' and that it is literally only passing through. They don't invade homes, they live in wooded areas, and I live in the middle of a forest. But, for about a day, I can feel things crawling on me, and I panic that the house is infested.

Maybe it isn't a german cockroach? (I'm just trying to cheer you up here.
