So, this AM she ate food and drank a lot of water, looked like she played in it too! Still not putting weight on that leg, grr. No egg.

Is the wound on the leg or thigh? it will probably take som time for the leg to heal best thing is just to take it a day at a time, did you ever try baby aspirin for pain? and inflamation? glad to hear her appitite is good. Mine don't lay everyday either.

Thigh, I think. No, didn't try aspirin. I took her outside for a bit and she started quacking and foraging a bit! Not moving much, but some! YAY!

This AM lotsa water drank, food eaten, laid an egg.....still limping/hopping. I put dandelion greens in her water and she loved it! Still playing in it. I will let her swim later in a kiddie pool to see if that helps the leg? She will enjoy being outside, I will just have to watch for bugs! Oh, she also ate a handful of peas. She gets those like 5x a day!

All right! So she went swimming, and LOVED it. Got herself all wet, preened tons, moving her neck everywehre! Still favoring her leg, but oh well. I think the water helped it! Then she got out and foraged a bit. Reluctant to come back inside, poor thing!
Here are some pics!
