MyPetChickens royally screwed up. I ordered some chicks in mid January. In late January, I canceled the order when I found out a local farm sold all the same breeds. I just got a call this morning from the post office that the chicks have arrived and need to be picked up immediately. Good job MyPetChickens because I am out of town for business and can in no way possible pick up those chicks. I have the email cancellation confirmation to prove I canceled my order. They royally screwed up and sent about a dozen baby chicks to their grave because now they are at the mercy of the postal workers. Yay.

You HAVE to have someone who can pick them up!! Please call anyone you can think of!! Where do you live?? Maybe someone on BYC can help. You can't let them all die for MPC's mistake...

You must have friends or family or a neighbor that can go pick them up and keep them warm. Gotta do something. Is there a way to get the local farm that was selling the same chicks to go pick them up and keep them til you get back? Holy crap something has to be done.

People make mistakes. But your making a big mistake if you leave the birds to die in a boxs. Come on their helpless!!!

ring the post office back and ask is there someone there that can look after the chicks if you have absolutly NOBODY that can get them!

dont let the poor little fuzzbutts die in a cold box on some post office shelf just because the hatchery screwed up!

my wife teaches kindergarten nearby, she is trying to get someone to cover her class so she can get them. i'm just so pi$$ed that MPC put us in this situation, their folly.

Oh no. The poor baby chicks. I hope your wife can either go or get someone to go for her. I would be calling the place that sent them and give them an earful. Hope it all works out.

Man, oh man! I would be the exact opposite - I would be excited about the FREE chicks! I hope everything works out well for you and them, even though it seems like a big hassle right now.
