This cross is basically a Production Red. PRs are excellent layers, generally laying 5-6 large, brown eggs per hen per week. They are very hardy birds (especially cold hardy) with a uniform reddish appearance. BYC has an entire section devoted to PRs at https://www.backyardchickens.com/products/production. You can read Cackle Hatcheries and Stromberg's summaries of PRs at http://www.cacklehatchery.com/productionredpage.html and http://www.strombergschickens.com/product/Production-Red-Chicks/brown-egg-layers.
