The bottom guy is one of my Swedish Flower Hens, he's a good sized boy and totally dwarfed by the Brahma.

Do they call them roosters Swedish Flower Hens or Swedish Flower Roosters? I’ve never really thought about it before but a have always heard people say hens like it’s part of the breed’s name. I don’t know anything about the breed standards but both of those guys are very good looking roosters to my eyes.

I find it a bit awkward, but yes a rooster of that breed is a Swedish Flower Hen rooster... the word Hen is indeed part of the breed name. I'm not sure why, I haven't read enough about then to find out!

Thanks, probably something lost in the translation from Swedish to English

That IS odd...

I could see a conversation with someone going similar to an episode of Abbott and Costello
"Who's on First ?, What's on Second ?, I Don't Know is on Third base"

" He's a Swedish Flower Hen?"
" Yes, a Rooster"
" But, he's a Hen?
" Yes, he's a Rooster!!"
🤪

I wondered about that.

Solo is 26 weeks and I'm still waiting for eggs from her. She's really lucky she's so darn pretty....🙂
I feel your pain! My BCM twins are 25 weeks and nothing, but they are quite red in the comb. I'm playing catch up, I stopped getting notifications for this thread.

I can't wait to see eggs from your Thelma and Louise..♥️

Yes the notifications thingy happens to me, also.

I almost forgot I took more pics of the babies to show off that big guy compared to the others.
They'll be 10 wks tomorrow and he's got the most color on his back and he seems to have a nice tail so far also.
A few pics are blurry but show his height/size.

On the left.

Here's a crappy pic but it shows the 3 boys up top. He's on the right. This pic really shows his mass compared to the others.

On the right again, barn cat walked by outside the run as I was taking the pic so they all went red alert mode.
