I didn't know about that. I had the same thing. In chickens it looks like they're getting better, then they die. I had a cat put down yesterday. Its the hardest thing! We've had her for 7 years. I miss her too!!

Better days will come. R.I.P Chicklet and Daisy.

Sorry to hear of your loss Sydney. It's hard to lose our beloved pets. A vet once told me that chickens are great at hiding their illnesses so a predator doesn't think they are weak. That way they won't get attacked. By the time we notice anything wrong, it's already too late. He didn't have any suggestions on preventive measures since we just don't always know what's wrong. I've lost 4 good, loved hens this year to unknown causes.
