Looking to buy eggs from closer to home since further away seems to get mishandled in the longer shipping.
I can pick up within around 100 miles of Mason TX. Or if you are further I'll pay shipping.
I'm helping a neighbor rebuild her flock as well.

looking for the following breeds for me if possible:
clean legged banties and LF mutts
    b/b/s silkies

    For the neighbor:
any LF would be find but they really did like their big red mutt roo that was killed

Trying to keep this on the inexpensive side. Looking for around 2 dozen total.

Let me know what you have and $$ via PM.

Have you tried the local feed stores? They should know who has a laying flock.

Some of the feed stores I've been to sometimes have "fresh local eggs"for sale really cheap, like $2-3 dozen. If they had a rooster, that would be a source for some mix LF eggs. You could try to find out when they come in so you could catch them before they go in the refrigerator.

Most of the people I've been referred to are either in the middle of flock molt with little to no eggs being laid or don't have a roo. I'm on the list of people to call for loose birds that animal control picks up (along with any bassets for rescue) and the feed stores know I'm looking but for the most part anything even partially grown is given to the local food bank processor. I don't want to step on their toes since they do good things for the community.

Still keeping options open out here though! Ya never know what will show up at my door!!
