I am having the same size problem with the Lav Orp mix roo I got from you Tammy

I love him and he has been a good boy for me, but after putting him with my girls today, I think I am going to have to find him a new home. He is easily twice their size and weight and just throws them around like ragdolls, not to be mean, I think he is just used to bigger girls. When he does manage to get one into position, he smushes them into the ground lol. I am scared one of them is going to get hurt. Sorry! I honestly do not have much roo experience, so I didn't even think about size being an issue. I hate to let him go, but I will find him a good home, I promise. Your Splash boy was absolutely gorgeous, my daughter reallllly wanted me to get him instead, but jeez, he was even bigger than the one I took! LoL

My girls are all small in comparison to the Splash girl I got from you (but they are not quite a year old yet). Boy do you grow big, healthy chickens!! She is an absolute sweetheart though and has gotten along great with my girls since putting her with them. Thanks!!!

I hope I can get the eggs to hatch that I got from you

You might want to give them a week to see if they get comfortable with each other. He'll learn to be gentle and they will learn that he is their roo now and how he works. Think of it as their first time, Fummbling around to they learn what works best for each other. My cochin roo was rough at first or if they tried to run from him but it all worked out.

Greetings from North East Pennsylvania.

We met some great people at Martinsburg and got some great buys.

Erin, I think our White Bobwhite is a male. He went nuts flirting when we gave him his new cage mates.

Can't rmember the name of the lady we got the Frizzle cochins from, but wanted to let you know that when we got home, we had an egg the next morning. Not sure if fertile but it is in the incubator.

Thanks, to all.

As for motels. Count out the Rodeway Inn too. It was disgusting. Dirting bath room, children running the halls at 1:00 AM (had to be told 3 times to cool it) pillows were a total joke.

Hope to see you all again.

Tammy I thought I would post my new Birthday coop and coops on here for everyone to see too. Janathan our NPIP tester was telling her about or coops and I told her what hubby got/did for my Birthday. Hope ya'll enjoy the pics and don't mind me posting them. Oh when moving everyone to new coops I did a head count.

27 in all.
Had to move adults to smaller coop so the large coop will be the Maran Inn. The little coop will be the Exchequer Leghorn Inn. The middle size coops will be BLRW & Lav. Orpington Inn.

Oh man I wish I had gone I thought for sure it was goimg to rain so I stayed home. Dummy. It sounds like all of you had a great time. I want miss the one in the fall if there is one. PLEASE BE ONE.

Tonya,

Great looking coops. I see you are as addicted as the rest of us crazy chicken people. I will let you know if I find any leghorns at this weekends swap/show in Glen Allen. If not...I may take you up on that offer.

Hope everyone has a great week.

What did I miss? Did everything happen prior to 9:30-10AM? I live in Maryland and took the drive out there thinking I'd see a SEA of Chicken's and Poultry. When I got there, there were only 5 or 6 people left and most were packing up. I saw one person with a nice assortment of Chicks, and a really cool Water Solution someone was marketing, but I was really disappointed.

I wanted to see a huge assortment of Chicks, Ducks, Rabbits, and everything that goes along with it, (and everything that was advertised).

Did that mean I needed to be there at 7:59AM? I've only been doing Chickens, Ducks, and Rabbits now for a little over a year, and I was REALLY Looking forward to this.

In sorry if you were dissapointed. The rain caused many of us to start packing up and head out. This is our second year and, I thought, it was a pretty good turn out even considering the impending weather and a gazillion phone calls the night before asking about a rain date. What was advertised is what you could expect to find or you are welcome to bring. No one is required to check in with me (who advertised and helped organize) or anyone else so I have no idea what to expect and neither does anyone else. There is NO way to guess as to who will show up and with what. Anyone is welcome to come and participate and I do not charge anyone to sell.

There are many other swaps around the country that have huge sales areas with tons of vendors. Im hoping ours will be as exciting one day. Maybe bring something to sell next time or help pass the word around to fellow farmers with poultry and help with that excitement

This is a group effort

Also, remember it's a bit like a yard sale. No matter when you decide to set up...someone is always there waiting to buy. I sold my first bird minutes after I arrived. That was just before 7.

I am going to one near Richmond on Saturday. Will I see you there? I hear it's a really big one!

What one is that? Can you post info? Thanks!
As for the TRS?BYC sale. I did the something the first time I went. I got there later and everyone but 2 where gone.
So the earlier you get there the better.
