I am having the same size problem with the Lav Orp mix roo I got from you Tammy
I love him and he has been a good boy for me, but after putting him with my girls today, I think I am going to have to find him a new home. He is easily twice their size and weight and just throws them around like ragdolls, not to be mean, I think he is just used to bigger girls. When he does manage to get one into position, he smushes them into the ground lol. I am scared one of them is going to get hurt. Sorry! I honestly do not have much roo experience, so I didn't even think about size being an issue. I hate to let him go, but I will find him a good home, I promise. Your Splash boy was absolutely gorgeous, my daughter reallllly wanted me to get him instead, but jeez, he was even bigger than the one I took! LoL
My girls are all small in comparison to the Splash girl I got from you (but they are not quite a year old yet). Boy do you grow big, healthy chickens!! She is an absolute sweetheart though and has gotten along great with my girls since putting her with them. Thanks!!!
I hope I can get the eggs to hatch that I got from you
You might want to give them a week to see if they get comfortable with each other. He'll learn to be gentle and they will learn that he is their roo now and how he works. Think of it as their first time, Fummbling around to they learn what works best for each other. My cochin roo was rough at first or if they tried to run from him but it all worked out.
