I had a visitor today. He was a Red-winged Blackbird. The girls usually show up about a month after the boys do. Spring must be on its way.

Sorry about that. I never get mud. I still have snow, I still have ice but I also have bare areas and the "ground" is beginning to thaw. I live on a sand dune. Sand does not turn into mud ever. At the worst it becomes wet sand but never mud.How come you get a red-winged blackbird and I get mud? Deep mud. Mud with ice under it. Mud with ice on top of it. Mud with ice all around it. Mud with slush. Mud mingled in the snow plow ridges....mud. I think we need to add a fifth season to the year. We can have Spring, Summer, Fall, Winter, and Unwintering. Pushing Kendra's wheelchair through that trash is not fun!
No, no netting over the guineas and even for the rest of it there is only netting over the turkey roosts which has an open area on the south which could allow the owls to get in there.Good thing you have netting over most of the poultry. Are your guineas covered?
I had to chase off a bald eagle today that was circling over my guineas.
p.s. That's a wonderful picture!
Thank you.Stunning photos Bob!
