This is the same hen and youngsters from post #1820.

They must have liked the accommodations :D
The boys better not come back next spring if they know what is good for them. The one youngster landed in the old dog pen and immediately became fence stupid. I thought that catching him would be the easiest way to get him out of there. He was easy to catch and quite calm once caught. They don't act like wild turkeys. I assume that someone thinks it is okay to let their turkeys run loose.

They left almost immediately after I got him out of the dog pen.

It appears so. They are back again tonight. One got hung up in the neighbor's yard and decided to roost in their Russian Olive tree. Two are back up in the dead elm tree they roosted in last night. The last one is swaying on the small branches of a nearby Russian Olive. He was going to roost on top of the guinea coop but got nervous when the other two would not join him.

It is Fall turkey hunting season here in zone 2. It only requires a general turkey license and is open for any turkey. The season runs until Dec. 31. Maybe I should get a turkey license when I go to town tomorrow.

I took out an insurance policy yesterday and bought two Fall Turkey licenses to cover the two toms in the group. So far it is working since they did not return yesterday.

Speaking of grapevines, A grapevine that I planted about 6 years ago had grapes on in for the first time this year. I kept a close watch on the developing grapes all summer. This fall as the best cluster was nearly ripe, they just disappeared. It seemed strange that the whole cluster disappeared and not just the grapes. They were there one day and gone the next. I don't know whether to blame it on the turkeys or an overnight visitor.

I guess you weren't the only one watching them closely. What a bummer!
