I feel for both of you! Our low was 11 above this morning. Got up to 28 by noon but temp is dropping now.
Let the birds out around 8 am but they were back inside around 1:00 and I shut the doors. More snow coming this evening with low around zero. On the bright side hubby got a mule deer buck this morning and the chickens are all enjoying the hide covered in fat. :drool

It's still sunny here. The wind turbines are barely turning and the temperature is currently 30°F.

It's cooler here today. The low was 7°F but the high was only 16°F. It is still snowing with the current accumulation for today at 7/8" bringing the total to 16 1/4" for the month.

I "got" a buck this morning but didn't have to skin him.

That buck is beautiful. Shame that people want to eat them. But maybe we saved a cow's life? :idunno
He survived bow season so he is pretty safe. The biggest danger to deer here are vehicles. One of the young does recently had got her leg broken in the lower part.

Unfortunately she is coming into heat. It is a back leg so she cannot carry the weight of the buck. She will not be able to get bred and will keep going in and out of heat, and having to continuously deal with horny bucks.
