Gillette is a little closer for me. Just give me a few days notice so I can start saving eggs. If you don't mind crosses I won't seperate because any rir will be purebred. I ordered Javas, cucko marans, rir, and blue cochins this year. I lost 7 of 10 javas but will reorder so hopefully next year I will have some purebred eggs out of them. So I would be good with silkies and D'uckles. I am not sure what is going on with the incubator I was going to buy. She wasn't expecting me to be in Billings for a few more weeks and let a friend use her incubator. I need to get in touch with her and find out what is going on. I am glad to know I am not the only one with breeding issues. I was beginning to think I was really screwing up something.

Yeah, I know you're not the only one with breeding issues! It's the time of year, ya know? Best time to breed, but harder to keep the litters!
I have 4 bators going, so I know I'll have way more chicks still! But if you're good with silkies and d'uccles, we can do that. I'll set some BEI for you soon too! I have some in the hatcher, so depending on that hatch I'll know how many to set!
I'll keep you updated on my hatches, and let you know a few days before we come to Gillette!

THNX!! We're in Rawlins. We moved here in August. Were told we couldn't have chickens, then the past week as I was talking to various ppl, they kept saying they couldn't believe it, etc. So I spoke to city council, then to animal control, and found out that I can!!!!!

Well that's great! Glad you can! A lot of places think you can't have them, when in reality you can, it's just a little by-law glitch and such. Most places don't consider them "livestock" so unless a law specifically says NO POULTRY you can usually havea few! Just check to see what the limit is!

Hey Shelly! The ducks I set for you are due to hatch the 14th LOL A few days late! I do have some cochins, frizzles, d'uccles, silkies (very few of these right now), and d'uccle/silkie crosses. As well as some other breeds (RIR, BO, Ameraucana) I have a few polish I could part with too.
We are still planning on coming up in a few weeks too. We have that show the 16th, so around the 30th of May we can come up! By then I'll have your ducks, more cochins, more silkies and d'uccles, etc etc.
