Y’all what is this thing?!?!?

I went out to my chicken coop today to collect eggs and I looked at one of my hens poop because she has been sick and I noticed these little things in her poop. They look like sand burrs but they are ALIVE. I have no idea what these are, and I need help quick! I already have at least two chickens I have discovered with tapeworms and this new addition does NOT help my mental wellbeing. I have attached a picture of the things.

How fresh is that poop? To me they look like an external bug that is just having a party in the poop rather than something that's come out of your chicken.

I guess it’s maybe a day or two old? Maybe last night? Idk I’m a little freaked out right now!

I did a little (more like alot) of research just now and the only thing I can find it might be is a Little House Fly. I think the fly larva is called Fannia sp., family Fanniidae.

Correct me if I’m wrong…

It makes sense to me that they are fly lavae of some sort. Definitely doesn't look like any kind of internal parasite.

Yeah, the way they are shaped, it looks like it would hurt if those things came out!

And as on today, 12/31/21, I went out and looked and almost all of the things are gone.
