I am a big Gaga fan and listen to her music alot. It surprised me when I realized that you can learn from her! Today, my sister asked me what the Puritan name that means 'never give up' and it had 'Prd' in it. Remembering Gaga's song, Born This Way, I remembered that it was 'Prudence'. I got that from the line "Give yourself prudence and love your friends, so we can rejoice the truth." Also, in English class, our teacher played Born This Way, saying it was a revolution to make people love themselves for who they are. We are now doing a project on that. There are many more examples that I will share later. Please, feel free to hijack this and post your opinions on Gaga and if you learned anything from her, like I did. Just keep it family friendly, and no arguing.

Oh good grief keep that dingbat out of the educational system. People who want to be taken seriously don't walk around with meat on their heads no matter what point she was trying to make.

I think it's great that people are able to learn something positive from Lady Gaga or any entertainer for that matter. And kudos for your teacher thinking they can reach students through popular music. I hope you guys have fun with the project and learn something wonderful about yourselves.

Though I don't listen to her very much, I still like her music, as well as her take on things. She's the only mainstream artist I will listen to. Her music is different from all of the others nowadays who all seem to sound the same, and I appreciate that. Not to mention the songs she makes tend to have meanings unlike what I normally see out there for the top ten artists or whatever.

As for her outfits, I really don't care what others think. Dress how you want, look how you want, and that's just fine with me. As long as you like it and are yourself, I say it's great.

I enjoy lady gaga. her "sound" isn't the sort of thing I normally listen to but her music lyrics and her interviews have allowed me to realize what she is about. Yes she wears odd things but it is mostly to display her message that we should break from the mold and not be humiliated when we do something sillly or unusual as long as it isn't hurting anyone and we are having fun.

She is pro LGBT, pro inter racial relations and marriage, and pro loving who you are no matter what someone else says.

She likes to push the envelope in fashion and in music, and while I normally don't pay attention to her type of style, as a Bi, mix race, non christian person, I appreciate her general message of acceptance of fellow humans who were "born this way"

I only like a couple of her songs but must say she is unique and if it gets kids interested in learning something, well good.
I'm pretty sure it was her singing on American Idol, on some high platform doing very suggestive things with a male dancer. I certainly could have lived without seeing her writhing about with him, especially when little kids watch the show.
What was the deal when another poster said she had meat on her head?

I used to not like her, but then I started to...and I went to see her in concert, and I loved the experience. If you take her songs and their words at face value, they won't make sense. And I like that she hasn't badmouthed any of her peers. There's a website dedicated to analyzing her songs, statements, actions, what have you - I really like reading it because it reminds me of analyzing novels in college. I somehow miss that
