I don't really care what Lady Gaga does; I don't agree with her on certain things. And I really think the meat-dress was a ridiculously stupid thing to do: how ungrateful of the sacrifice the animals made to produce that meat!

Shows how shallow we have become.

A message of accepting yourself is good, because you have to respect yourself. But we should always strive to be better people and fight our particular faults, not just "accept" our shortcomings and not ever do anything about them!

....Don't listen to her music, can't stand it, along with most popular music today, so that doesn't have anything to do with her.....

ChickLover98, I'm glad you are learning something, but I really can't respect a teacher who would assign a project like that. Where have all the thousands of years of learning from the people who made Western civilization gone? They certainly don't teach that in PS!

Last poster: I can't really agree.....while I have nothing against Lady Gaga, I can't agree with her at all and I choose not to listen to her music--is that petty?

I don't like her but I don't hate her either, I really don't give a rip either way. However, while I generally don't care what people want to do, or think they need to do, to get attention I really thought the meat costume was idiotic. I mean, that's just stupid and a huge waste. And what about the raw meat smell? It couldn't have been good. Ridiculousness carried to far.

There seems to be a trend with performers, the ones put the highest on the pedestal are the ones that usually get busted for something stupid. Not all though.

Isn't it a shame our classrooms have come to this? My 11 year old DS had to write a sentence for PE homework, using two verbs and 3 adjectives on a PE sport they play. . .I have a feeling this will NOT happen again, as most of us parents are madder' heck about it, because this is simply not what PE is about. We had tests on things yes, but it was the rules and stuff on the games we played, not a sentence using verbs and adjectives.

No disrespect to your Lady Gaga lovers, but

Lady Gaga has been compared to many past performers. However, this onion is worth peeling the layers off to learn about who she is and what she believes in. Her message is a good one. Self worth, acceptance of others even though they appear odd, wealth is in your heart, be true to who you are. I could go on and on. When she first hit the scene, I couldn't stand her, because I don't care for that style music. I took the time to watch a 4 hour program about her, including many interviews. She is NOT a gimmick. She brings attention to herself so her message can be heard. I think more people need to listen.
