I'll try posting a picture. The only antibiotic I have is some human Cipro. Any advice about the light? Right now I have a night light on and I see she is squatting down.
Is the Cipro 500mg? What she really needs is warmth (80-85 degrees is ideal), fluids via a tube, maybe a little corn syrup and quite possible antibiotics. If she does have an infection, Cipro is a good one to give her. Do you think she will live through the night and make it to a vet? Do you have a Petsmart nearby?

No, I am on a small island. The vet and feed store will be open tomorrow. The Cipro is 500 mg, but I could shave some off. Based on my last experience I do not think she is near death. She did eat some meat and rice his morning. I will eye dropper her some water with a little Cipro in it. She is fairly warm now about 70 degrees in our downstairs bathroom. I can set up an additional heater if you think it should be warmer.

If you want to give an exact dose based on her weight in kg, use this formula:
Weigh in kg, times 25mg, divide by 25mg/ml = number of ml to give.
2.5 kg hen would look like this - 2.5 x 25 ÷ 25 = 2.5 ml

If you want to give an exact dose based on her weight in pounds, use this formula:
Weight in pounds, divide by 2.2, times 25mg, divide by 25mg/ml = number of ml to give.
5.5 pound hen would look like this - 5.5 ÷ 2.2 x 25 ÷ 25 = 2.5 ml

Another book of mine says that up to 40mg/kg is sometimes used.

Update-today her poop is watery and white with black bits. I took a sample into the vet and she has two kinds of worms. I hope that's all it is. Meanwhile we lost another one to a mink attack! Not a good week.
