Yellowish Urates

Ok I did some digging.... I will assume the Doxy is 20% since the contents are 100 mg of Doxycycline Hyclate?

According to my packaging you will put 1 teaspoon of this stuff in 1 gallon of water. (If you need to convert this to liters, you can google it on line. :) )

Use for 7 continuous days. Make a new batch daily.

Now I will tell you from experience, you need to use pure treated water. I dont know what degree of hardness your water is, but hard water renders this stuff useless. I have water you could cut with a chainsaw! So I use distilled water when using any Tetracycline antibiotic. So use some sort of pure soft water.

Keep us posted, if after 4 days and there is no change in the poop, stop and we will have to take another approach at this. :)

Yeah I always make new batch whenever I use any medicine I will Google it

In the mornings today he 2 times poop normal with white urates:ya last night I let him drink more water .
He usually don't drink much like my other roo , he only drink when he's thirsty I think I need to let him drink more then regular .
He also didn't like eating fruits he's choosy only love eating mangoes or any other laxative fruit . most of the time he use to hold his wings out saying am hot so I bath him 2-3 times a day due to So high temperature of 43C

One of my hens has been having yellow urate in her poops for the past 4-5 days. Here's a photo (un-retouched) showing the yellowish poops (bottom of pic), as compared to the other hen's poops that have the normal white urate cap. There is plenty of water in the coop, they have all been wormed recently, and her appetite and activity level seems normal. Does anyone have any insight into what could be the cause of the yellow urate? Thanks in advance, for any feedback.

Hi MarcyG!
:welcome
Can you tell us what age the hen is?
As said at the beginning of this thread yellow urates can be caused by a number of things. You said there is plenty of water available to them, have you actually seen this hen drinking? When her activity level and appetite seem normal - that's good.
Have you inspected the chicken all over to see if anything feels off? Does she feel thin (protruding breast bone)? Is her crop functioning properly (full at night, empty in the morning)? How does her belly feel compared to the others?
It might be nothing to worry about, but I would give her a once over, observe to make sure she is eating And drinking (not just putting on a show in your company) and check her crop in the morning before she eats or drinks.
