Been treating my pekin hen for a pretty severe bumblefoot case for months— finally making progress.. experts out here…
Scab is finally light tan and pink— see pics.. continue with the epson salt baths and wrapping? Does it look like all the infection is gone?

Looks to me that her thumb toe has a bit of infection in it as well.. tip is black and it’s puffier than other foot.. remove the black area and treat it as I did the foot pad?

Much appreciated!

Those pics were this morning, after another couple of soaks today, it looked even better on the foot pad, the scab is completely off and foot is a light pink, even less swelling.
Not sure about the toe though.. is that bumblefoot too?

If it were me, I'd soak the whole foot, apply neosporin, wrap and get a duck bootie to help her heal.
What does her leg look like? I'm just wondering if the infection is becoming worse. You might need actual antibiotics to treat this case.

I soak the whole duck in the bathtub inside for awhile, clean it with antibacterial spray, apply coloidal silver ointment, put a gauze pad, vet wrap and then a duck bootie. It was way worse than this. Slowly getting better but always concerned I don’t have the entire infection out. Her foot and leg isn’t swollen anymore. This week was the first time she started running around and playing with the other ducks- she looks much happier than she did weeks ago.

So, you're already treating the toe?

Yes i can try! That’s not what a “normal’ toe looks like right?

It looks like you are making good progress on a pretty bad infection. Anything that is swollen on the foot is a possible infection. If it were my duck, I would treat her with antibiotics on top of everything to help prevent it from going systemic. You can get Enrofloxacin (generic form of baytril) without a prescription. https://allbirdproducts.com/products/enrofloxacin-10
The Enrofloxacin will help make sure the infection is dead and you will mostly be focusing on healing the wound. It is 0.02ml / lb of bird, 2 times a day for 5 days.

The tissue will likely never shrink back down to the way it was normally without surgery removing the excess tissue. My pekin has some excess tissue from her time with bumblefoot, but still gets around just fine and is quite happy.

Overall, keep up the good work.
