YIPPEE! Pink EEs - SHE'S BACK!!!!

My EE's just started laying and I get a large light green and a medium olive. I'd love a pink!

Is anyone breeding for that? Can it be done?

Sweetie is a talented chicken. I think her eggs have the purest "pink" tone I have ever seen on a chicken egg. She would be a great foundation bird for pink egg laying EE strain.

my BR lays pinkish eggs also.. so I agree with trying a BR roo how eggsiting!

Oh and my EE stopped laying also, I may have gotten a dozen eggs from the 2 of them total before they stopped, and they started late also! I waited for ever for my green eggs and then as soon as it got cold POOF! no more!

If you do breed her with a BR make sure that he came from a pinkish egg because some of mine lay brown

i have two EEs, too. Hoping for green or blue eggs, but no. One lays a light tan egg and the other was badly injured by a hawk just after Thanksgiving and haven't seen an egg from her at all--though I *did* have one pinkish egg before then...maybe that was Hermione's? Nevertheless, I'm hoping to get some more EEs in the spring to try for those coveted blue eggs my neighbors keep asking about... Anyone here breed EEs that can guarantee me something other than tan shells?
