Hi all, I'm Amy from England, new to chickens completely. I've wanted them for years and my parents finally said yes to it at the weekend, so have bought 3 Lavender Pekin Bantams and 1 Hybrid Bantam, all 10 weeks old
Although this was very spontaneous, they're getting a lovely long run and a nice henhouse built for them. I have yet to name them as their combs haven't started to grow yet and if they're cockerals we're unfortunately getting rid of them
Currently my brain is like a sponge soaking up information about them but I still feel I know nothing, so be prepared for stupid questions to be asked!

I also own 7 guinea pigs of various breeds, a lurcher, a few rabbits of my Mum though and 2 cats one of which is a very good hunter but perfectly behaved around my guinea pigs. I'm hoping he'll continue this behavior through to my chicks. Oh and my Mum runs a rescue centre for Rabbits and Guinea Pigs in our back garden
