I want to hand pick some hens for laying. How do I find breeders in the area. I can go about 100 miles.

Newbie (VERY!) in Cleveland/Sautee area! Just getting started - hoping to find local chicks/young pullets (mixed breed, about 8) in the next two weeks! Very excited - looking forward to learning (and learning and learning!!) and to meeting other area BYCers. Would LOVE to "peep" at other folks' set-ups -- I tend toward the creative/unusual approach but know I would learn so much from in-person viewing of various approaches. Anyone willing for me to visit for a few minutes, please let me know! And would LOVE referrals on local (regional) chick sources - preferably organic-oriented - thanks!!
