Just wanted to share my excitement with some fellow Georgians... I am off the wall! Earlier I placed an order for my first two Naked-Necks! I've been IN LOVE with the breed since I discovered them and just HAD to have some of my own! My girls should be shipping out to me within the next few days... Here's hoping I don't have to wait TOO long!

Any other Georgians fans of this ugly but lovely breed?

Anybody here in georgia have cochin bantams? I am looking for blue splash, red ,partridge, white(frizzles or non frizzle) Also looking for frizzle seramas(larger size)I want to breed in the frizzle gene into my turken bantams. Looking for nearby swaps or anyone interested in organizing one.
Thanks

Just a happy hello to every one on the BYC Georgian group!!! Wow look at us grow!!!!! Been a busy time here on the farm, came back from our second farmers market of the week and only one more this week!

Be careful picking berries, I got slam dunked by 3 wasps and my hand looked like Hulk's hand! It's better but haven't been on here as much as I would like! it was too swollen to move my fingers. Well have a great weekend! (And if you're out of hatching eggs, our ladies are laying like they are on fire!")

Last Night, I drove to Pelion, SC to buy somme Golden Comets. She has a lot of breeds out there. I am not sure all of the ones she is selling, but I know she has over 50 GCs, 21 weeks old and some of them are laying right now. She puts adds on craigslist all the time. I just go craigslist-farm and garden; type in laying hens and it will show you "few results locally but here are some in nearby areas." Locally, in the Spring, a Farm in Blythe called the Circle T family farm has several-week old chickens and several breeds at one time. This last spring, I got one buff orp, 1 RIR, and 1 barred rock, all 7 weeks old. Let me know if want want to come over and check out our motley crew of laying hens. I think it would be fun for a bunch of Augusta area chicken enthusiasts to get together! Hope this helps.
