YO GEORGIANS! :)

Soooo....moving on now......what do you put chick grit in? I purchased some today because I want to begin giving my chicks some different things as treats other than their chick food. I put it in a dish just like my book

said to do and the Brat Pack immediately turned it over. Then we perched on it.

Do I need another feeder thingy for the grit?
I plan on using 2 feeders. one for grit one for food.

I do it early spring and the birds make their nest out of her hair. Its pretty cool. Wind kicks up and her hair starts coming out of the trees.

Speaking of nests, your nest boxes look REALLY open. If they are too open and the chickens won't lay in them you may want to cover them.

My lawn man built my coop and my nest boxes are awfully open too, if the birds don't take to them I will put little curtains over them so they feel like they can "hide" their eggs.

Your coop looks gorgeous!

This is Chloe's lover. Luke. He is a rescue also. King charles yorkey mix. Also He HATES the chickens. He tried to bite the head off of one the first day we got them. He is the reason the run has wire sunk into the ground.

Interesting I didnt know they needed to hide their eggs. I can build boxes around them.
