YO GEORGIANS! :)

And, how can you guys like coffee? It smells so good, but it tastes so yucky! I have to do the hot tea thing!
I don't.

I use LOTS AND LOTS of cream and sugar. I can't stand bitter coffee at all. But I need the caffeine. And mountain dew and other drinks like that have too many negative effects and not enough positive ones. Coffee, at least, has antioxidants. It's also not carbonated, which is something I tend to avoid.

Why oh why have my eggs been sitting at this place for over a day now?

Good Afternoon everyone!! LOL I slept in late!! Feel good but kind of in a fog. Going to take a few days off and get my house back in order, I have been slacking major on this....got a TON of laundry to do and finish my spring cleaning. To chilly outside for me anyway. DH is finally off today after nine days straight, so we are getting some great catch up conversations and planning more outside stuff. Got most of the garden fenced but ran out of steam beating in the t-posts uggg. I am going to try to catch up on the 150 posts I missed

LOL something about nice weather and so much to do outside. kind of glad the weather turned chily so I can have some inside time LOL
I'm glad it decided to turn chilly TODAY, and not yesterday or the day before.

My normal driver was sick these past two days, and the weather was still relatively nice for most of today. Now that it's going down to freezing, she'll be the one driving around with the window down and sticking her arm out to grab cold, metal boxes!

Yeah I kinda feel sorry for her but hey, part time has it's perks!

he was my impatient child. Born at 37 weeks on the bathroom floor at home!
Weeeiiiirrrddd....
That's exactly how and where I was born. And to bring it full-circle, my dad died in that same house (also not in a hospital). I guess I didn't want to be born in a hospital, and he didn't want to die in one.

And now that I've caught up....

I HAVE A BLUE-LACED RED WYANDOTTE CHICK!

It hatched while I was at work today! The other three eggs are still chirping and/or clicking, but still nothing new from most of them. An EE hatched with the BLRW, so they both have a friend. Expecting about 5 silkies today, too!

I'd rather do both at home. Hospitals are good, but there's something to be said for birthing and dying in your own home.

Let me grab some coffee, because I'm chilly and my main driver returns tomorrow so I'm off until Saturday and don't have to worry about waking up early...

And I'll take it out of the brooder for a few snapshots

Okay here it is!

He is already completely dry, but his down hadn't rubbed up against anything enough (such as other chicks) to fluff it out. So he still looks a bit wet with his down clumped together like that, but he's not.
