How exciting to have your baby on the bathroom floor! Now THAT is something to crow about! Makes for a great story! Glad it all turned out ok!
I actually have had 2 babies at home..... and both on the bathroom floor! haha My son was a complete surprise! I didn't even think I was in labor. He was also born completely in his amniotic sac. My water never broke and we had to break the bag after he was born! AMAZING experience. He is definitely a special kiddo! Also my trouble maker. He busted his forehead at 18 months on a brick fireplace, then the day before Halloween this past year, he was playing with a broken umbrella i had thrown away, put it down to talk to me, then when he went to pick it up......***The squeemish need not read further***

and fell on it impaling himself in the throat. A little one way he would have hit his trachea and a little the other way, his carotid artery.

You need CATS! :)

I have one... and there are cats that roam around here from the neighbors house. they don't do a dang thing.

the win is AWFUL here too. I made my son chase lawn chairs across the front yard and pasture. haha

Weeeiiiirrrddd....
That's exactly how and where I was born. And to bring it full-circle, my dad died in that same house (also not in a hospital). I guess I didn't want to be born in a hospital, and he didn't want to die in one.

My youngest child was born at home as well, although I planned to have her at home. She wasn't born until 42 weeks and I know my dates weren't off because I know the day I got pregnant. :) Hospitals are for sick people and pregnancy is a natural thing. If I had complications I of course would go to a hospital, but I absolutely LOVE the way I birthed my youngest kiddos. My oldest was born in a hospital. I was only there for 12 minutes before she was born though. I should have waited at home a little longer and she would have been born on the highway in Hawaii.

Yeah mine wasn't planned. My mom said she felt something like a strong pressure, and then laid down beside the tub and called my dad because I wasn't waiting!

I was my dad's first child. But my mom's fourth. She thought that was why she didn't have pain, except my younger brother was born after several, SEVERAL hours of hard labor. So there's really no explaining why she had no pain with me.

Looks to me like you did a marvelous job.

PS, my son was born on a Friday the 13th!~  Luckiest day of my life!  (Except for when I had the other 3 girls, too!  Those were wonderful days too!)
Hey- my son is a Friday 13th baby too!! :D

Busy day today- I worked, left a little early for an appointment (found a SWEET new general practice instead of our usual over-booked, too-busy one)..

Came home, had dinner with my guys, mama & granny.. Fed the any-mollies, went to walmart for hubby's rx (sinuses for him, ugh), and now we are just chillin.

Everyone outside is all snuggled up for our LAST (you hear me!?) cold snap of winter. Heat lamp for the feathereds and tank warmer and hay for the fuzzies. :)

Anyone else experiencing a significant drop in egg production lately? I went from getting 18-20 a day, to 16, then 14, and today only 10! It's been declining for the last 7-10 days.
