YO GEORGIANS! :)

Does anybody on here have any Jubilee Orp chicks? I am right outside Blue Ridge and would be willing to drive a ways to meet or pick up And if need be would be willing to have them shipped

So you all remember the little chick I saved from the feedstore who wanted to put her down because she had curled toes?

Well, she has started laying and her eggs are the they are the most beautiful color ever!!! I must have taken a hundred photos trying to get the color to show up right, but believe me, nothing does it justice!

Just know that the egg on the top right is a nice shade of blue. The middle egg is the one this new hen lays. It is really a dark turquoise color! I just wish you could see this color right. Anyway, I am soooo glad that man wanted to kill her and just gave her to me when I protested about him wanting to put her down! I love her egg color!

good for you. Bet she's a happy chicken and loves you for saving her!

I've told y'all about the neighbors that moved and let the brother live in the house and keep some of the free range chickens. Well I saw him a few days ago with furniture in his truck. I went up to the house and asked him if he knew his free range chickens were living in our plum trees. He said he didn't know. He said he was in the process of moving. He said he only wanted maybe a rooster and hen out of the flock and that I could have the rest. He then said he would be back the next day for the hen and rooster. That was last Monday. I haven't seen him since. I guess if the all survive by this weekend, my hubby and I will try to get the 10 chickens in with our's until I can find someone that wants a few of them. There are 6 hens and 4 roosters. I don't know what to do with the 2 the guy wanted. I don't mind keeping the other 5 hens but I don't really need anymore roosters, we already have 8. Of the three roosters one is a young Old English Game and the other two are EEs. Would anyone be interested in EE roosters or a game rooster?
