YO GEORGIANS! :)

@Flowerbh , I was just looking over the chicks I recently hatched, some from you and some of mine and the NN's from the swap. I'm trying to figure out where this yellow chick came from. The chick is a pale yellow and has black spots on it's back and 5 toes. Have you hatched one like this?

Well, whatever it is, it's cute!

Beleesings: It's Saturday and I have 3 days off. I've been filling in for sick Scrub Techs in surgery this week and covering my own side of the office. I can sit down in my big chick playpen in the basement with my Thera Flu lol and watch my little babies run this way and that. Very much looking forward to the TSC swap in April thanks again Cliff and the staff there, they are still unmatched compared to 2 closer TSCs closer to me in service, friendliness and efforts.

ok, so I have just popped out a yellow chick, too! It has exactly one black tail feather! The only hens I have that are white and black are my splash Isbar and my frizzled Naked Neck. The Isbar came from a very reputable breeder in FL so I don't think one of her chicks would throw 5 toes! The frizzled NN could have non-naked neck chicks, but I have never seen 5 toes on anything from her. I am still wondering where my little 'Sunni' came from. She started out yellow, looked like she was going to be white and then became orange! Both the little white chicks I hatched came from colored eggs. ok, so I just looked at my records. My white chick with the one black feather did hatch from my frizzled NN egg. (Blue egg). These NNs came from a lady in South Carolina. I wonder if she had Silkies or Salmon Faverolles? Silkies wouldn't give you LF, so maybe it has some Salmon Faverolle in it somewhere? Well, I did say they were barnyard mixes!

^^ Agreed.

Carcar, got up to 4 chicks so far and 7 more about to pop out. Only one has no pip yet. And surprise!!! Guess what came out of the Olive Egg??? A naked neck! I am so excited! And the possible dad was either a Lav. Am, a frizzled roo or a SL Polish, so it should be very interesting to see what I end up with, but if a female, should produce some nice dark/olive eggs! These are from the lady in FL.

Forgot to ask, how is your hatch going?
S L O W.

:/ Day 22 though, which is my norm. Clearly my bator temp needs a bump, but it's getting everyone to lockdown and scared to overcorrect right now. Anyway I can hear lots of tapping and cheeping still, so not too discouraged yet.

Two olives out, one Brahma zipping. The wrong-end pip is still active so it should be fine too.
