Well come on.

HEY!! HOLD EVERYTHING!!! I just realized the 18th was not one of the choices for April. It was the 4th and 11th. Our whole family is volunteering at a Camp Puzzle event on the 18th. We'll have to start over with a date. The 11th is out because of Cliff's event. So it's the 4th of April or it will have to be in May. I'm not sure how I got so confused. Sorry about that. As of right now we don't have anything going on in May so any Saturday in May is good for us. I think Cliff's events are the 2nd Saturday of each month so we'll rule out May 9th. So startingggggggg.... NOW..... everyone can decide what date is best and we'll go with a date the most people can do.

And anyone who is close and just wants to come visit can always PM us and arrange a time.

just got two baby ducks!!!!

We are really sorry about the dates confusion.

When looking at possible dates in May remember that cliff does his thing on the 2nd Saturday so that is out. Our schedules are open for Saturday's in May. Lets figure out the best date as soon as possible so that we can all get it on our schedules.

Okay finally got to take a couple pictures of my Wednesday after work field trip to TSC McDonough. These are 4 of the 6 (2 faded and went to chick heaven) these are strong and very active and yes I know the black skinned one is a silkie…any guesses about the other three..there should be a few Cochins?

I think my hatch is about done. I hatched 11 of the 12 eggs. (91.6%) I just candled the last egg. I don't see anything moving. Looks blotchy. I will take the chicks out and put them in the brooder and let that egg sit until later tonight. These were suppose to be really different chicks. Only 3 look 'different'. Most are blackish with small amount of yellow on them. But, it is really early. The odd thing is that the white chick that hatched from a bluish egg has a straight comb, and the white chick that hatched from a brown egg has a pea comb. No mistake.....I was there to note it! Can't wait until they fluff out to see how they look!

Don't tell DH but Rocky Rhodes is swinging by to bring me some of his hatching eggs!

Congrats on the hatches and too funny about the DH part. My DH has not looked in my basement brooder lately…umm he might be a little surprised.
