YO GEORGIANS! :)

Now that you mention it I can see that lol. He does not have a name as of yet I think Elvis would be perfect :)

The Cochin Roo's name is Hewasashe, Cochins are Asiatic. Now some might wonder just how I came up with a name like that. You see I thought I had purchased all female chicks, I was incorrect. So that said lets take a look at the name in slow motion: He was a she or at least so I thought for a good while y'all know how that rolls.

Hahhaahahaha!!!! Yeah his name is Bootstrap. He has huge feathers on his feet. He is very sweet and snuggly. I love him but I hate that I have to sell him because I have 2 already for breeding purposes.

well today, I got 4 brown eggs. I took the time to go sit in the run and try to get some pics and close ups of the 3 'leghorns'...........

1 of them I have no doubt is a leghorn, this is the first girl to give me an egg, and it was white. No doubt, with the white earlobes. She's also the smallest of all the hens I have, as far as body size

the other two, even though I was told at TSC they were leghorns, obviously have something else up the family tree. note the red earlobes, which most likely explain why I'm getting brown eggs from them. Very disappointed in the chickens I bought at the Rome TSC. out of the six pullets I bought, supposed to be 3 leghorns and 3 black australorps, 1 australorp turned out to be a boy, and 2 of the leghorns are some mix that's giving me brown eggs instead of white.....this may have just sealed the deal for me ever buying any from TSC again....

Today's collection, the one below the blue one almost has a pinkish hue to it

Well i am finally getting to see the fruits of my labor. Baby girl just chased the duck and the frizzled turken around the run for a good 10-15 minutes. She couldn't have been happier giggling and talking the whole time.

So this super-wholesome and so-not-shady woman just came to our house looking for the neighbor's house. Hubby had to explain three times that they live the next drive over...

...you'll know it's him cause he's currently mowing the lawn. In the dark.

Heavy, heavy sigh....

Alright everyone. Ya'll didn't hear this from me but if you're the type to enjoy chickens and you also enjoy shopping at your local TSC keep your ears to the ground. Some new information will soon be surfacing that could benefit you.

Well when will the 411 be running down the grape vine?
