YO GEORGIANS! :)

Sounds good to me. I made my run walls tall enough for my almost 7 foot hubby to walk in so the run walls are taller than the coop roof line. Wire is forgiving and will mold to fit so I don't have critter gaps. Your thought are much appreciated :)
Here is a photo of out coop we built using chicken wire for the top

Hi Jo Taylor, try to calibrate your thermometer and hygrometer.... A prolonged hatch usually means that the temperature is too cold. I try to calibrate every hatch but admit I fall short of this goal! What is your humidity reading???? Was the one you tried to help like a paper covering on it, if yes, humidity is too low, if wrapped like saran on baby generally means humidity is too low. Good luck on your efforts!

we have had nugget since New years eve, and know he/she was at least a couple of months old. Nugget doesn't look like a roo at all!

Hey everybody, checking in from Holly Springs Ga., which is in the northern end of Cherokee county. Looking to get the city of Holly Springs to bring their ordinance more inline with Cherokee county's new laws on back yard chickens. Right now whilemcherokee allows them, Holly Springs says only on agriculturally zoned land. Please check out our Facebook page and help us win this battle! http://www.facebook.com/pages/Backyard-Chicken-for-Holly-Springs/142723162569685

Okay I can barely use my right thumb from hammering avery spare chance I can grab on the weekend and some week nights...The coop is sooo close to being done. I have a questions regarding run toppers. Hardware wire seems the easiest way to protect my girls from air and climbing attackers. Here is Georgia is a hard cover really necessary?
I have a portable carport for my run with 1" chicken wire up the sides and the tarp for it over the top to protect them from rain and flying predators.

My bantam hen Maypop just laid her first eggs today
